Cavs board are all talking like Tatum or brown is. Done deal.  Acting like they have Boston over a barrel because other teams like Detroit are waiting in the wings to get kyrie.  I can't stand Cavs fans and will definitely visit their boards when LBJ leaves for nothing and they recind the trade nd get less then Indy did for george

I went to Fear the Sword and read through a couple of articles and the comments and didn't see any of what you are saying.

Most acknowledge there is no way they are getting Tatum, Brown, or the Lakers pick. The most popular addition they desire is an additional first round pick (BOS '18 or Clips). I have also seen people wanting to replace Rozier with Zizic and a few have the desire to add Smart. That sounds ridiculous to us, but they apparently don't see Smart's value to the Cs and aren't that crazy about him in general.

They also seem to realize that the Boston package is the best they can hope for and still think IT will help them this year.

I think the Cavs have another trade lined up after getting buyers remorse. Ask for the moon and if not on to trade B.

These conspiracy theories mean that the Cavs medical staff is violating their ethical duty as physicians and they all should lose their licenses.

doctors disagree all the time.... if a different opinion is cause to lose a license, many doctors will lose their licenses. So what I am saying is that these conspiracy theories are not unreasonable. You can get a doctor to give you an opinion within reason if you pay for it.

I'd be fine adding our pick or the Clip pick (We have to keep the Grizz pick for when it goes unprotected in 2020/21). I'd also include Rozier over Zizic. Rozier isn't needed and I just want to see what we can get out of Zizic for less than $2m a year over 4.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Sigh.

This farce may last for many more days the way things are going. As an impatient and entitled fan, I object to them not giving me instant gratification.  ;D

I just saw on Twitter that the trade is voided if not completed by Wednesday.

My guess is, if this thing gets voided, there's no going back to the table.

I'm already considering the trade voided. The Cavs are only going through all this nonsense if they get something major in return. My guess is that Danny is already making plans for Jae and IT currently

HAHAHAHAAHA!

Some fool on youtube that keeps popping up in my feed said the Cavs are now perusing to get Hayward in the deal.

IT/Hayward/Croder/Zizc and the Nets pick for Irving......

For one, can't trade Hayward yet, and the Cavs would have to send Love out too. I'm not going to pretend to be a cap guru, but come on!

Didn't hear Hayward, but I did think that it was kind of obnoxious that they asked for Garoppolo and Hightower.

Isn't it the other way around? The trade is complete, but teams have until Wednesday to void it due to physicals.
No the trade is not complete until after all players pass their physicals assuming that was a condition of the trade.  Here's the quote from http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q84.

Quote
Following the trade call each team sends the league office an email with the terms of the transaction, and the league office sends the involved teams instructions for conditions that must be satisfied before the trade becomes official (such as physical exams). When all conditions have been satisfied, the league office sends another email notifying the teams that the trade is complete. Any term or condition that is not specified in the trade call is not enforceable.

Per @ChrisMannixYS on @CSNNE, #Celtics will draw line in sand. May part with a 2nd Rd pick to complete #Cavs deal. No firsts/Brown/Tatum.

All this crap for someone who probably won't even play in the NBA? Come on, Cavs want a lot more..

I'd like Danny to make a public statement. Something along the lines of, "An accepted deal was made by all parties knowing all the facts. We believe that this attempt to renegotiate is a farce and is not being done in good faith. The Celtics will not renegotiate this trade and furthermore ask the league to investigate this and possibly issue penalties for misconduct."
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

What a joke. I wouldn't give anything else except maybe a 2nd-round pick, but even that's too much, in my opinion. The Cavs can take a hike.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Screw em. Let em trade him somewhere else and sign Kyrie as free agent in 2 years.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

My guess is Cavs have something else cooking because LeBron didn't like the trade.
