Lulz.

"Hey, so, I know we closed on the house already.  Buuut we did a more thorough inspection and we feel that it'd only be fair for you to add something extra to finalize the deal.  We'd like you to throw in your Tesla.  Howsaboutit?"

If this is the sticking point, the trade is off.

Sigh.

This farce may last for many more days the way things are going. As an impatient and entitled fan, I object to them not giving me instant gratification.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I just saw on Twitter that the trade is voided if not completed by Wednesday.

My guess is, if this thing gets voided, there's no going back to the table.

They've been asking for Tatum forever. Danny will walk. Tatum is too important to this teams future. Brown is too.

I think the Cavs have another trade lined up after getting buyers remorse. Ask for the moon and if not on to trade B.

"Buyer's remorse" = LeBron finding out how bad the hip is and long Isaiah would miss and then telling the Cavs to void it and find another deal.

NESN's garbage. They're just taking a small point in Woj's report and blowing it up. They also ran with Broussard's crap about IT not being liked in the locker room. Stop listening to their bs. Don't be sheep.

if Cavs are dumb enough to play with fire

Danny will walk away from this deal

Kyrie will be MIA at the start of the season for the Cavs

Unless the Cavs trade him to a team he wants to play for

Danny won't give up nothing major for this so called problem

future 2019 Celts 1st or multiple 2nd round picks

otherwise , forget about the deal

If Ainge is stupid enough to let them have Tatum, I think I'll just walk away from the team for a while. Hard for me to watch him commit organizational suicide.

Yeah, if anything this just kind of made me a bit more positive about the situation.

Per Woj, they're first going to ask for Tatum or Brown (negotiation tactic of starting high to assure yourself of a higher compromise price), but they're realistically looking to get one of those other firsts that we have.

This gives me hope that we'll end up meeting in the middle at something like the Clippers pick, which I'm fine with. And if you think about it, that wouldn't be all that bad given A) the extent of IT's injury, B) how far we've got into this already and the consequences of the deal not happening, and C) the fact that we could possibly have 4 first round picks in 2019, which is way too many given that 3 of them would most likely be outside of the lottery.

But, yeah, it's not realistic in any way to expect Brown or Tatum in addition to this package. There's no way in hell Danny would or should consider that. At that point I think Danny should call the NBA for an investigation, because it's becoming more and more clear that this is closer to buyer's remorse and then wanting out of the deal than a truly different medical interpretation of IT's injury.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

We'd like to thank the Cavs for participating in amateur comedy hour. Round of applause please.
