He likes making his team better. Crazy.
Did I miss something? What deal did he do recently that gives off that impression?
He traded a decent rotational wing, a pick, and a B+ pointguard who just sustained a major hip injury for an A pointguard who is 3 years younger, entering the prime of his career, isn't a midget, and has an extra year of contract flexibility.
Take off the tunnel vision glasses and you can understand that contracts matter in the NBA. Doing this deal basically lets them keep Marcus Smart. Hayward/Tatum/Brown deserve minutes over Crowder. And the pick is an unknown. It could easily turn out to be #8 just as easily as #1. Nets got better and the rest of the competition got worse. Im not going to roast Danny for including it when he farted a possible extra lottery pick out of thin air by trading back 2 spots and selecting tatum. Who by all accounts has looked great.
