IT was AWESOME for this franchise the last couple of years. What he did on the court, and more importantly, the 4th quarter, was nothing less than jaw-dropping. Thank you IT for your energy, your recruiting efforts, and for giving life back to the Boston Celtics.
But, I do not feel bad for him. For this year, at least, he will have a better chance at a title than he did in Boston. Evidently, Danny was never going to give him the 5-yr max, and I have my doubts about Cleveland giving it to him, so the best he was ever going to do was 4-yrs on the open market.
For his sake, I hope he does play well enough (and play enough in general) to get his huge payday - he deserves it; however, I also hope we are able to solidify our position at the top of the East.
