Works hard, gritty bruiser, can hit from midrange, decent rebounder, decent post game. Drops the ball a lot, but he's been good for a few 20/10 a season, pretty much outta nowhere.
He was ass the first half of the season his first year here, then ass the first half of the next season, but turned it around in the second half both times, and was even a big piece of our playoff run a few years ago. He'll be perfect to spell Horford for 15 mpg.
At the price you got him for, he's perfect. Already one of the better backup C's in the league IMO. Gonna miss him, but I'm happy to see Boban get unleashed.

Butterfingers, can shoot mid range, slow, strong, defense is meh, can post up decently

Defense is NOT "meh." He was a very able rim protector this season.

Yeah no. He's essentially what would happen if Drummond had no athleticism

You're entirely incorrect. Look into the metrics yourself.

Is it considered poor form to downvote a post and then announce that you're downvoting it?
This is completely wrong.

He sets monster screens, has a mediocre post game and jump shot. Executes the offense fantastically. Isn't a great passer. Defends smartly, much quicker on his feet than you think. Great at Verticality. Has a tendancy to foul a lot, but gets away with it a lot because the refs like him (he's established a history of verticality etc, so when he obviously roofs guys they give him way more benefit of the doubt than some other players).
He's not an option in the offense. Period. If he's wide open for a FT line jumper then that's fine, but he's got a huge issue with butterfingers and he's not very good at the rim.
But he'll do everything else really well, and while his stat sheet may not fill up very much, his +/- and DRTG/ORTG are always very favorable. Does the little things that helps you win.

He's not as bad on defense as you would probably think, and good for a couple "where did that come from?" blocks every now and again. I'd say he's an average defender although if you count intangibles, it probably brings him to above-average. He's gritty, works hard, and generally just gives a Edited. Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. about winning. Not a great offensive option although he's one of the best screeners in the league and if you leave him open by the FT line he will bury it with consistency.
One other thing about his offense is that he really seems to know his role. SVG always said that he ran the plays really well, and he just seems to know what he's good at (and not) and stick within that. I just wish he'd do the same for his hair..
