I think Yabu signs and stays in Boston

I also think Semi and Nadar hit on the 2 way deals. Yabu can help this team

I have to ask myself, is Jerebko better than Theis? Will he play for the vet min?

Is Gerald more valuable than Nader? Will he play for the vet min?

Clearly I cut Mickey but Jackson I keep  as long as possible through camp in case of injury.

We  still don't  know for sure if Yabusele is completely healthy so that's  a possible stash.

Ojeyele is a possible stash but what if he out plays Yabusele in camp?

Clearly we have training camp to help with these decisions. There are going to be a few players we attempt to sign on g league contracts as well like Bird and Buford for example. I'm sure I forgot someone else.

I think they play different positions.  Ojeleye can play 2/3 and maybe, only maybe a little 4.  Honestly, he may be listed at 6'7" but he's no taller than 6'5-1/2" without shoes.

Yabusele can play the 4/5.  He'd get eaten alive trying to guard the 3.  He's a Draymond Green type big man.  He may be an inch shorter but he's got more girth than Green which will help him with rebounding and defense against bigs.

I would like to see Jackson and Mickey shown the door. Jackson is not good enough and Mickey couldn't even see the floor last season when he could of been used.

1. IT
2. Hayward
3. Horford
4. Crowder
5. Baynes
6. Morris
7. Brown
8. Tatum
9. Zizic
10. Yabu
11. Smart
12. Rozier
13. Semi
14. Nadar
15. Theis
Spots 15-17 can be used on some of the younger guys that might spend the season in Maine

1   Baynes
2   Brown
3   Crowder
4   Hayward
5   Horford
6   Morris
7   Nader
8   Ojeleye
9   Rozier
10   Smart
11   Tatum
12   Theis
13   Thomas
14   Yabusele
15   Zizic

9 new players. Good luck coach.

Mickey and Jackson are cut, but they add at least one PG to a two-way contracts. With these two cuts, they have only 3 PG, so there's an outside chance that they keep Jackson and stash Ojeleye, though I don't see any chance that Jackson will stick in the NBA. They have 4 who could play center and have excessive depth at 2-3-4.
I'd cut Nader and resign Gerald for the minimum

Bringing Green back is a possibility as a microwave shooter (play him until he shows you he's hot or not).

I'd much rather bring back Gerald than have guys like Jackson/Ojeleye/Nader. Not saying those guys can't help us eventually, but we would already be adding Tatum/Zizic/Theis/Yabusele. Four rookies is A LOT for a team striving for 60-wins and the Finals, but 6 plus a second-year Jackson who got no burn last year is a little too much to ask of Brad.

Gerald could definitely bring leadership and some scoring to the second unit.

Watching Green save us from Rondo and the Bulls reminds us of what he is capable of and worth. However,  he's getting interest from other teams and deserves more minutes and money than the vet minimum.  Jerebko demonstrated toughness against Cleveland. Coming off of a more lucrative contract than the room the Celtics have, unlikely he accepts vet minimum.

We'll have to hitch our wagon to Brown and Tatum on the 2nd Unit.  And invest in the rookies.

Yabusele, Nader and Ojeleye.if we keep all 3.

I agree.  I want Gerald and Jerebko too but I want to see some new guys.

Apparently, we have 12 guys already guaranteed for next season:
Thomas - Smart - Rozier - Hayward - Brown - Tatum - Crowder - Morris - Theis - Horford - Ziziz - Baynes.
There is nothing apparent about Theis' contract being guaranteed for anything beyond training camp.

I'll agree with Jackson and Mickey being the odd men out.

But I've watched Zizic for 3 SL games now, and I can't see for the life of me how he's ready for the NBA. He's never ahead of the play, seldom engaged in real time, and always a step or two behind. His reaction time starting from the jump of the ball is late. I guess it goes to show you how desperate the Celtics are for size. He clearly needs another year of seasoning.

In fact as I look at what looks like the entire team on paper, the end of the bench is really a developmental situation. IMO Danny is looking to develop some of the young assets quickly, because of having some many I guess, rather than go with more established players like Jerebko, and Green.

Adam Himmelsbach said it was guaranteed for the 1st year.

I could see the argument of Jackson instead of Nader because we have so many forwards, but this seems to be the lineup we'll be rolling with, unless Ainge makes another trade or convinces a vet to come for the minimum.
