If hardaway becomes his dad, the deal is a bargain

He won't though. Completely different players. Sr. was a better scorer and a true playmaker, basically as soon as he came into the league. He was already a multiple-time all-star at this stage of Jr.'s career, who still can't become an everyday starter.

Knicks fans have to be p---ed.  4 for 71 on a guy they already owned once and gave away and draft an 18 year old point guard. Wow.

But good on them for not matching that deal. That's an awful lot of money for a rebuilding team to invest in a guy that only projects as a role player.

This contract fits in with last summer's deals such as Crabbe and ET. :D

Maybe Atlanta now picks up KPC on a cheaper contract and makes out on the deal....

What sucks is that KCP will now end up on the Lakers or Nets making them a little better.

I don't think KCP takes a 1 year contract so that would eliminate the Lakers.  Nets are going to get Porter or KCP most likely, not both though.

This guy is not that good folks.   He has a PER of 12.9,   shoots 40.5% from the field .  Shooots .35% from trey land and scores 13.8 ppg

Reading some of the posts on this thread one would think he is all-world.  He is not, relax.

In short, he sucks and if he goes to Nets or Lakers that is good for us....

I disagree with this assessment, KCP is a legit 2 way player.  He may be overhyped on this forum but he certainly does not suck.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

KCP doesn't suck but he's a role player. You can't give a role player 20 million and expect to build a really good team in the NBA!

The nets are a decade away from being a really good team. Right now they need to get players who can outplay their contracts and turn them into better assets. Signing KCP would fit that goal
