I know he has his limitations, but I think he is worth a roster slot since he already knows the system, can start in a pinch, can rebound, defend and won't complain if he doesnt get minutes.

Ideally, we bring Jerebko+ a rebounding big.

Can we do that? He is better than some of the remaining options so Im curious.

I like Jerebko. I hope they can re-sign him.

Frankly, Jerebko seems like the last thing they need.

Crowder, Hayward, Morris, Tatum, Smart, Semi

In my opinion Semi could be the last thing they need. I haven't seen anything from him so far. I hope I am wrong.

He's been the invisible man.  Hopefully he's not someone who only looks good in youtube workouts.

I thought all along that we should be able to bring back JJ or Amir for the room exception. Amir is obviously gone to Philly, but JJ still makes a lot of sense. I do wish he had the ability to play center and if he is the last significant piece we add, he will, but he is like the ultimate team and system guy.

A bigs  rotation of Horford, Morris, JJ, Zizic, and Theis is a little on the small side, but we really just need to fill the other 16 or so minutes that Al isn't in the game for the center position. Guys like Hayward, Crowder, and Tatum can certainly fill in at PF.

Semi hasn't looked for his shot.  He's made some good plays and there hasn't been a pg on the floor that can run an offense.  The focus has been on 7-11 and nader.

Can you explain why there is not a contradiction here?  If there's one thing they still need, it's size.  Morris only helps little with that.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I don't really mind Jonas back, but can we have Donatas Motiejunas instead?

This dude is bigger (which we need), and can shoot (has been afwul the last two seasons though, but he can).

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

JJ is 6'10" and he isn't exactly skinny, but he has never really played center. He makes sense because he is an effective player who knows the Cs system and he is always ready when called upon.

If we do keep JJ, I think it is with the expectation that he will start out as the back-up Center until Zizic/Theis are ready or until we make a move for a legit 7-footer. He won't play as many minutes as KO in this situation, but I imagine he would help fill that void.

No JJ is pretty skinny, can't hold his position against bigger players.  Just make the move for a bigger center now rather than commit to JJ.

Better yet, let's see how Zizic does in Vegas, I'm not giving up on him yet.  I think Theis is only 6'9".

Oh, I am totally hoping for the best with Zizic, but he may be a couple of years from really contributing. Theis isn't huge, but he appears to play bigger than he is (in the limited highlights I've seen).

Regardless, Horford is our full time starting center. We are just trying to cover those minutes he goes to the bench (and hope he doesn't get injured). I agree, though, we need some kind-of contingency plan.

My guess is that JJ is Plan C for the exception, unless he would come back on a veteran minimum.

If we are getting JJ back its because we need defenders/rebounder at our PF spot which Morris isnt. No, he isnt the answer, but for the 12th man he is good. Crowder isnt a full time PF, and Morris as well. This isnt Markieff.

We still need another big, someone who can really play Center. But Jerebko actually defends power forwards better than both Crowder and Morris, and rebounds better than the two. He shouldnt get more playing time over them, but he can soak up minutes on certain matchups. Plus he isnt one to complain if he doesnt get minutes.

I was thinking him and Green would be two guys to bring back.  But I think we need to use that $ for a Center......

But I'd like to bring JJ back 100%....   Only because we lost Kelly, Amir, Zeller and Bradley.   Having  a roster full of new people is hard on a TEAM.

Look at our returners...   Not many (6)
