Blame the Cavs because they couldn't win 1 more game.

And the C's because they couldn't win 1 more game. Oh wait! Spurs, Rockets, Heat...couldn't win any games!

The cap affects all teams, I got news for you, we were never going to keep all these guys anyways at some point they want to cash in and get paid.   This is not a fairy tale or Brothers Grimm, it is business and they are not worried about a happy ending.

True, but if the Celtics didn't have to drop salary and everyone knew it, maybe a better return on the trade.

Everybody knew we had to trade AB, whether it was now, next month, or mid-season. With him only having one year left, the return was never going to be great.
