Atlanta has agreed to a buyout of Jamal Crawford.

I think he ends up in Cleveland.  Not sure that would be the best move for Cleveland, but it seems like a move they would make and if he is just taking Deron Williams minutes it probably does make them better.

I don't know. He's pretty good friends with IT, and he'd bring much needed shooting and scoring off the bench for us.
I get that, but how many minutes is he really going to get and if he is getting a bunch of minutes that means a guy like Brown isn't, which hurts his development.  Even with Bradley leaving, I just don't think he will get enough minutes for him to take small dollars to not win a title (because Boston still is a significant underdog in a Cleveland series or against the western team).  A guy Crawford's age who has never been close to a winner, I just don't see going to Boston over a place like Cleveland unless the money or role is much greater.
How many minutes did 38 year old Sam Cassell get on that 08 team? There's your answer... Although I get your point, cassell did have a few chips already
the 08 team was a title contender.

So are we. There's a good case to be made that we're right there with Cleveland as the second best team in the league. Even if GS or Cleveland are the favorites over us, we're still certainly contenders.
Boston is the 2nd best team in the East but I don't see Boston as a contender because it would take 2 very significant upsets of healthy teams to win a title.  A team can't be heavy underdogs multiple times and be a contender.

Again overestimating the cavs.

Vegas has the Celtics and cavs both at 54.5 wins. Lebron will be 33 and we have added a top 20 player and have a number of young players still improving.

The Rockets won as the 6th seed in 1995...Trail Blazers were 3 seed and were under dogs against Denver, LA and then the sixers... The 1969 Celtics were the 4th seed and upset The 76ers, The Knicks, then they beat a stacked Lakers team...

all those teams were led not only by HOFers but special room HOFers.  Boston doesn't have a HOFer on the team (I'm not counting Brown or Tatum who are way too young). And having a lower seed doesnt make you an underdog and certainly doesn't make a team a heavy underdog.  I mean the Cavs have only been the 1 seed once in this current run and yet have been heavy favorites in each eastern series.

And for the record the 95 Rockets were the defending champions that had wion 58 games the year before and then added Drexler.  The Blazers won 49 games but Walton only played 65. They were 44 and 21 in those games and just 5 and 12 in the games Walton missed. Like the Rockets th4 Celtics were the defending NBA champion.  If those are your best examples you aren't helping prove your point.

the regular season win total doesn't matter.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Cavs ended up the 3 or 4 seed, but they will still be heavy favorites to come out of the East as they have the best player in basketball and 2 other top tier players in their prime.

You guys are kidding yourselves if you think Boston has a real chance of beating a healthy Cleveland in a 7 game series as the teams are presently constructed.
