Solid two way player?? He was soft as tissue on defense. If Kelly played half as good as the game 7 Whashington game consistently then I would be bummed he left. More often then not his play was laughable on the court bricking shots, turning the ball over and playing soft in the paint on defense. Some of you are making him out to be a great player he never was even good consistently. He had some moments but he wasn't a player you could count on every night to be good never mind great.

Yes the guy that had over a 60% TS% coming off shoulder surgery bricks a lot of shots.  There are a ton of ball handling big men that turn the ball over at higher rates than he does.  Defending the rim and in the post are not his forte, it is of much greater importance that your big men are capable defending on the perimeter the way the game is being played now.  He is a very good perimeter defender and anyone who tells you otherwise has no idea what they are talking about....

So much for the brisk market for KO.  I would have thought he would have gotten a bigger deal than that.  considering some of the money that was thrown around, and a lot of us here expected $15mil / or in that neighborhood Heat got a good deal.

The animosity toward Kelly on here is pretty weird. Sure, he was inconsistent, but he was really positive overall, and he played a MAJOR role in bringing us to the ECF.

Oh Kelly, Oh Kelly, how do I rate thee:let me see,not athletic enough,game way below the rim,no inner desire to be great,soft body,slow of foot,had a few good games here BUT nowhere near enough to justify keeping him.
MOVIN ON... I want ATHLETES with a killer instinct who's elbows are above the rim who will break your hand trying to defend his dunk, you know : the modern nasty 4/5 in the NBA.

Where do people get this???  K.O. is a very solid perimeter defender.  That is an absolute steal for Miami.

He'll get eaten up trying to guard 4s. Can't wait for the C's to spread that frontcourt out and destroy.

Did you watch any games? Dude was excellent guarding PF's and our best lineup included Kelly Olynyk at the 4.
