So Tatum is already better than Brown RIGHT NOW right?  I mean, I'm not overreacting to summer league but it's fairly obvious to me.  Very polished scorer and we can project what he will become.

Jaylen, on the other hand, is very raw still.  His floor is much lower than many will want to admit, and he has a long way to go before we know what he will become.

The good news about Brown is that he is at the very least a legit NBA player, even at age 20.

Whether he ends up more towards the Jeff Green end of the spectrum, or more towards the LeBron end of the spectrum remains to be seen, but somewhere in the middle wouldn't be a bad result.

Tatum and Brown have different parts of their game they need to work on and they both should be pushing each other and Hayward will be a big help in their improvement. Brown could be like a Derozan variation.

Best comparisons are McGrady Pierce and Durant.

actually, his offense reminds me a bit of a combo between Gervin and Bernard King.  It's still early but he could be the answer to our awful scoring droughts if he comes close to that level

How about some modern player comparisons

should go back and watch of those guys if you can -- the days when there were real NBA games.  can't stand today's NBA so I wouldn't sully Tatum's potential with latter-day player comparison's.

What do you think of Tatum to Clyde/Dr J comparisons?

he seems to be more of a shooter than they were.  they were more drivers than shooters.  King and Gervin were more of a mix although Tatum's finger roll made me think Gervin immediately

Clyde the Glide Dr J are actually more similar to Josh Jackson than Tatum.

Tatum's body is shape is virtually identical to Pippen.  Both Tatum and Pippen are extremely smooth players.   Watching the way Tatum moves with the ball, the smooth deliberate motion he takes to get to his shot.  Yes his step back gam winner was reminiscent of Pierce, but Pippen had a step back shot too.  Look at the moves when Tatum slides to the rim, and I don't say drive because some times it looks like he just glides to the rim, that's Pippen.  Pippen had an absolutely sweet midrange game with smooth pull ups and jab steps just like Tatum.

Tatum has ALL the offensive tools.  AND he showed that he can rebound too. 

I believe JT11 can eventually put up 20+ ppg 7+ rpg and 3+ apg.  I really like his confidence in 1 on 1 situations.  We finally have a guy outside of IT whom we can ask to go get a basket late!!
