The up and under is still my favorite.

This is why I've liked him since January when I first saw him. He's got all the pro moves. He's way ahead skill wise. He's not done growing and will fill out pretty well.  6'9 when he's done.

He looks 6'9 to me

Plus a 7 wingspan

Which means 9'0 reach  ;D

You want Tatum vs. Fultz?  Watch the play that starts at 2:18:
- Tatum with a great defensive play to steal it from Fultz
- He outruns Fultz the length of the court.  Fultz not running hard.
- Tatum takes no chances and goes right to the cup
- Fultz finally catches up and fouls him for the And-1

Thank-you, Danny.

He didnt even steal it from Fultz,  lol , Fultz just lost it on a bounce pass...

Fultz also didn't foul him

I just find it hilarious. No biggy, but when Fultz ended up not coming here, and you watched this play, you had to make it seem like it happened the way you said it did. Then I watch it , and it was nothing like that.
LOL

Just one game, but...kid looks legit. Love Jaylen taking him under his wing as well. I wasn't sure how they would mesh together, but it looks like they compliment each other pretty well.

As for Fultz- he is not a true point guard. Kid definitely has talent, but he seems like more of a two. Kind of weird that their point guard can shoot, but isn't a great distributor, and their SF (Simmons) has Magic-like passing skills, but can't shoot to save his life. It will be interesting to see how that pans out

As for our Dark 🏇- Zizic might be a little too slow for the modern NBA. Hoping he can work on his ball handling and agility.

Nader- looks great. And Shimi? Next Draymond? Buahahaha. Hopefully ;)

Yeah Fultz lost it.  He LOST IT, not good.  Then he was lazy running back.  Either way, Tatum got the better of Fultz on the entire sequence.  It's right there on the tape, exactly like that.  I didn't make it up.

Tatum reminds me so much of Carmelo: the post-ups, the mid range game, and the way he finishes at the rim. That said, he also took some poor shots that reminded me of Carmelo, too. Hopefully some of this translates to real competition.

Tatum looked great.  Have to love him looking that polished in his first game.  I absolutely love the post up and under move he did.

Same.  That was awesome, even though I missed the vast majority of the game, lol.

No. They are diff in many ways

Anthony does have a quicker release and he is trigger happy

Tatum already plays better defense just by effort alone. Anthony is a pathetic defender

Tatum dunks is also something Anthony rarely or ever does.

Tatum reminds me of PG13.  If he even becomes a poor man version of PG13, Danny scored a big one here

There's more to their games than how many shots they take. And not all of those 17 shots Tatum took tonight were terrific looks. And just for the sake of it, the first couple of seasons Carmelo was putting up between 16 and 20 shots a night as the primary option for his team.

Carmelo never dunks? Did you see him play before he joined the Knicks? Even with the Knicks he's had some posters. He's not a slouch athlete and in many ways was a better athlete than Tatum at the same age. As for the quicker release, I guess maybe? But what about their post-up games and step backs? Quick release or not, that footwork is comparable. Not sure where you could come up with a PG13 comparison; are you familiar with his athleticism and his reliance on the 3 ball? Tatum's most common comparisons coming out of Duke were Parker and Melo, two players who play nothing like PG13.
