Well, I've been saying that for quite awhile now, but so far I get negative vibes from Ainge/Stevens. Though Danny has sounded ambivalent on the issue when he's talked about it. Perhaps a conflict with Stevens?
A lot of people are wrapped up in small ball, 3P shooting and spreading the floor. Well, that doesn't obviate the need for somebody to get the ball and defend the paint!
The old Russell era teams were better at small ball than the current group, but they also had a guy named Russell to get the ball and defend the paint.
That's why I'm not one to quickly dismiss a Jordan, though Noel might be acceptable as well.
I think it will be hard to pry him from Dallas, though he's a local kid from Everett.
I don't think this team can get better until it gets more toughness up front.
