One more team could make surprise last minute meeting with gordon http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/page/presents-19771192/zach-lowe-2017-nba-free-agency-preview-including-celtics-lakers-heat-more

I don't see how that new team has a chance. but I guess you never know

I'd be worried if it were the Spurs. But idk how that would work if they already have Kawhi. (Hayward becomes virtually a full time PF?)

Even then Spurs would have to do lots of negotiating to make cap room.

Celtics will keep their meeting with Gordon Hayward relatively small tomorrow, with IT, Horford, Brad Stevens, Danny Ainge and ownership.

Probably because they're going to discuss trading just about everyone else lol.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

That was my first thought, too. It's kind of sad how true this really is.

I would imagine they're going to openly discuss moves involving Crowder and Bradley, which is why they're not there. Maybe Ainge will intimate that he'd move 7/11 for the right megastar, but I'd bet they're not there mostly because young guys aren't exactly a huge selling point.

Edit: Jaylen and Jayson are also heading to SLC tomorrow, making them unavailable for the meeting.

I'd also imagine that the whole Crowder/Hayward thing is a factor, too. I still imagine that Crowder is gone if we get Hayward.

I don't think so. Avery skipped the Durant pitch, and he probably had the closest personal relationship to Durant of anyone on the team. Its not his thing.

Oh true, I forgot about that. Perhaps I'm reading into this too much.

I don't know, maybe. Crowder is super valuable, and I'm not sure moving him makes sense if you're not getting a star in return. At this point, it doesn't appear that any stars are available.

Earlier today I would have taken even money on him coming to the Cs. Now I think I'd need 2 to 1.

Pat Riley knows how to attract superstars. He is not to be taken lightly.

Pretty much the same for me. I had totally dismissed Miami as unrealistic, but they've got me feeling a bit queasy after today.

Think Miami is the favorite. Utah second and Boston last

The Celtics have a big need for a #2 scorer and need an offensive upgrade at the 3 (and 4) positions.

A big reason Isaiah was a ballhog and averaged 20 shots a game was because on this team, NO ONE ELSE could create their own shot and there was no other true scoring threat.

So why do people really believe Hayward would say "no" because of Isaiah???

Apparently you have inside information that the rest of us are not aware of. It's fine to think Miami has a chance (because they are on the circuit), but pinning them as the favorites is strange, at best.
