Apparently the FO, who also has had beef with Butler, is choosing Hoiberg (LOL) over Butler.
Butler might actually be gone this time. Before committing to Butler, I'd like to know what else is in the cards for upgrading our other big spot.
Butler's "max" salary came when the cap was much smaller, and with him having two more guaranteed years before an opt-out, I wonder what other options would be on the table for us.
Jimmy is stud (IMHO). If the Bulls are stupid enough to choose Hoiberg over Jimmy, then I'd be ecstatic if we're the team that benefits.
Otherwise, I'm just not sure what other options there are via trade for #3. Paul George - bless his silly, homesick heart - wants Los Angeles and his contract is a
much bigger gamble. Despite the CBlog driven narrative, there's ZERO evidence that Anthony Davis is available. We've already said "thanks, but no thanks" to Demarcus Cousins. I'm just not sure who else upgrades us via trade that's realistically attainable.
