My guess is he ends up in Cleveland. The Pacers/Cavs are already allegedly talking, with Indy apparently reaching out first.
That team would be pretty lethal. Not somebody I'd want to match up with. What does Indy want from Cleveland though?
Exactly. Can't see how Cleveland gives them the best offer.
I mean, if they decide to move Love... they would have to really for cap reasons I guess. But why would Pacers want him? Wouldnt they want picks to start their rebuild? Love would just keep them mediocre and at the back of the draft pack.
Love is under contract for a couple more seasons, giving Indiana a star who can put up big numbers while keeping them in the playoff hunt. For a lot of franchises, ticket sales are a very important financial concern.
He's also a legit asset they can move later for something better. He was already traded for two #1 picks, he could fetch a similar return again.
Speaking of which, the Twolves had three recent #1 picks on their roster in Wiggins, Towns, and Bennett, two of them were consensus #1 picks, franchise cornerstone players. They have yet to make the playoffs. Sometimes that 'consensus #1 pick cornerstone' is not all they are cracked up to be. Kyrie also couldn't make the playoffs until Lebron came over. There are very few Lebrons and Duncans. If Fultz was a Lebron, Duncan type, Ainge would have never even thought about trading the pick.
