C's can offer more than anyone, even if we give up # 3, we still have two possible top 5 picks next year.

He retweeted PP for a reason.

He is not walking away from a core of

IT      Rosier
Smart
Hayward.  Jaylen
George
Horford.   Zicic

For a lottery team

If the Lakers draft Ball at #2 and he lives up to the Jason Kidd hype, and LBJ is interested in going to the Lakers in 2018, it seems likely that George follows suit.

WAY TOO RISKY.

My guess is he ends up in Cleveland. The Pacers/Cavs are already allegedly talking, with Indy apparently reaching out first.

People need to stop pushing this narrative. They barely will have enough room for George by stretching Mozgov and Deng. How in the world will they get Lebron, too? And why would he even go there? Lebron, George, and a bunch of young, underachieving players isn't doing anything in the West.

He's right. Lebron is not going to the west it would be a bad business decision.

I do think there is something to the timing of the Cs trade becoming "official" and George informing the Pacers he won't resign there. Its like Ainge contacted George's agent, told them he wants him, George then goes to Pacers and informs them of the news to help drive his price down...

George was reported to have said he was jealous of the chemistry the Celtics had this past season so there seemingly is some interest there.

That team would be pretty lethal. Not somebody I'd want to match up with. What does Indy want from Cleveland though?

This is a likely scenario. If Ainge can pull this off without giving up both picks next year, he's a genius. The hints have been out there and I believe all the Lakers talk was just a way for him to let the Pacers know he was leaving and other contenders to get assets right. I doubt PG ever said he wanted to go to the Lakers.

There is something about the timing. The Cavs have nothing to offer.

Yeah, timing definitely interesting. Just a couple days ago he said he was quoted as being a Pacer and its his team. Then the Celtics news breaks and he all of the sudden tells team he is not coming back.

We know Celtics were trying for him at the trade deadline.

No doubt the Pacers will be pressing the rebuild button. They want high picks or young players with potential and Cleveland has neither of those. How about Miami as an underdog? They could probably convince George to stay there after next season, too.

Yeah, what does Cleveland have to offer, unless they are willing to move Love?

I can certainly see Miami grabbing George. Riley is one of the few people who is persuasive enough to get him to sign there long-term.

Exactly. Can't see how Cleveland gives them the best offer.

It doesn't make any sense why the Pacers call Cleveland first if they realize they have no picks or good young players. The only thing that INDY might want back is Love but how is that a rebuild? They certainly couldn't expect Kyrie. Not sure why Pacers didn't first call the Lakers with their boatload of young players/picks. Or the Celtics or Philly. But Cleveland? What can they do for you?

I mean, if they decide to move Love... they would have to really for cap reasons I guess. But why would Pacers want him? Wouldnt they want picks to start their rebuild? Love would just keep them mediocre and at the back of the draft pack.

LOL at people saying the Lakers won't have room out of one side of their mouth, then claim we're going to carry 4 max contracts out of the other.
