I'd guess the Sixers do that for the other top prospects, if not all, that they bring in to workout.  I'd assume most other teams do as well.

I can see maybe making this deal for some team out West or even another non-divisional Eastern Conference team. But it makes no sense whatsoever to make this deal with Philly, who is already on the rise and will seriously challenge us going forward.

Agreed. I just wish there was a certain direction Danny wants to take. Either contend or rebuild. If the Celtics wanted to rebuild you would think they'd hold onto the pick, draft the 2018 Nets pick, and start over. If they wanted to contend, you would think they'd trade the #1 pick for a certified All-Star. Trading the #1 pick for more draft picks and no players is just mind boggling to me.

It's okay.  Evidence suggests Embiid's spine isn't able to support his body.  Simmons is incredibly talented, but may / may not care at all about winning.  And if Dario keeps that mustache growing, he's going to need to register for his wrongdoings...
