"Adrian Wojnarowski on LeBron James: Not only is there no guarantee he’s coming back… I’m not sure there’s an expectation he’s re-signing there. I think they feel that he’s very much in play to leave again and likely head out West to one of the L.A. teams. – via The Vertical"

Maybe there is some truth to the rumors that he's going to LA. If he goes to the Clippers, that could affect the CP3 and Griffin free agencies.

LAC signs Lebron.

Re signs CP3

Sign and trade Blake for Melo

Sign Wade on the cheap.

Their dream finally comes true. And they still don't beat GSW.

Yup, basically..

I can safely say, we're the only team that matches favorably against GSW in terms of any team in the Eastern Conference.

Kyrie Irving/Love, and LBJ are juggernauts offensively, but we've seen what happens when their offense isn't taking over games.

Oh god I would love this! If he leaves Cleveland again his reputation will be crap hahahaha, they will burn his house down! He will never be welcome there again, is he really dumb enough to do it?

There seems to be a lot of smoke here. There was a story leaked the other day that Lebron's inner circle never forgave Gilbert. It looks like Cleveland could very quickly go back to irrelevancy. Then they are left with a lot of win now contracts like smith, thompson and love. If the Cavs believe this though, they should trade Lebron now. I wonder what their fans would think. Will be interesting if Lebron winds up a journey man that spends time on 4-5 teams looking for the best/most fun opportunity.

That's a nonstarter my friend. The city would mutiny them.

Lebron isn't a free agent until next offseason.

Not if Mr. Comic Sans himself Gilbert makes it clear that Lebron was planning on leaving again in a year and they were going to be left holding the bag. A trade like that would revitalize the NBA.

They should trade him while they are ahead or get nothing one year from now other than luxury tax penalties, no draft picks, and an empty stadium with d-leaguers.
Let's Go Celtics!!

That woud be the equivalent of Ainge trading Paul Pierce away after winning a championship, cementing his legacy in the Boston rafters, and dealt away for picks, and players....

Oh wait....

Clearly lots of smoke but Woj notoriously hates James so who knows on this particular story
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Wait, isn't Lebron under contract for next season already with no opt-out? Is this essentially meaning after next season he might leave?

That'd be pretty awesome if he went out West, which would really clear the way to the Finals for us. If both Paul and Griffin stay in LAC, there's no way he can really go to the Clippers, right? He'd have to go to the Lakers if anything.

Granted, if Griffin leaves, they could probably have room for all three of Lebron, Wade, and Anthony (after a forced buyout) in that case, with both Wade and Anthony taking a significant pay cut to play there. I could see that happening, though I don't see arrogant Lebron taking any sort of pay cut at all.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Ahh, so that's why Ainge wanted to save the cap space

I don't trust Woj regarding anything related to Lebron. He's been stirring the pot for years.

That said, Lebron absolutely should play the "upgrade or I'm leaving" card. Gilbert has not spent as much as he could to improve the Cavs, and I'm sure that that doesn't go unnoticed.

Personally, if I'm Lebron I'm signing in Boston next off-season for the MLE, haha. Screw LA, go to a team made for your talents.

Horford / Zizic
Lebron / 2018 BRK #1
Hayward / Crowder
Bradley / Brown
IT / Fultz

That's how you beat Golden State.
