I think we should get Detroit involved.... AB and Jahill for Drumond.  We flip some seconds late first for Jahill and  add AB+Jahill for Detroit and maybe another late first and we got ourselves and BIG MAN!

He has proved that he is not a good NBA player. Statistically, Philly has been quite better with him on the bench; he is a constant net negative. Holmes has actually outplayed him

Just don't get the fascination with Okafor on this site. He put up empty stats on one of the worst teams in league history his rookie year then was an absolutely putrid player last year. Some of the youtube vids of him "playing" defense are laugh out loud funny.

Pass on Okafor for Rozier nevermind Bradley.
that's the 'CoachBo' effect for you.

my personal take on the matter is it wouldn't be that bad, considering you draft Fultz so you make room for him to start immediately

also Okafor might have his issues but at the same time he is young and we all know he is capable of scoring. The good thing on our side is Brad can probably make it work in our system. The bad thing is the risk factor, can our team motivate him enough to play like he's the top 3 pick?

I'm tempted to actually pull this trigger, it's a mid-risk, high reward if it pans out because he's a big man that can score.

BUT another part of why I am against trading for him is AB Smart and Crowder combines to be a great defensive trio against the Warriors

AB for Jahlil and Covington.

That works out for everyone.
AB - expiring contract
Covington - expiring contract
Jahlil - eh.. maybe just to make salary match

TP to the OP.  :)
Getting Okafor would be huge for this team. He is not a finished product at all.

The best trade would be:
AB
Marcus
4
Okafor
2019 SAC unprotected 1st

IMO Smart is gone next summer bc we will have Fultz and presumably IT,,,,plus Jaylen. Smart is not going to get better first step or become an offensive weapon with decent shooting percentages.

I can't tell if you're trolling or not. 5/10
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

I know you are high on Okafor, that is something we share, but I think you need to differentiate between his potential and his trade value. His trade value is something like Terry Rozier right now. Bradley for the Sac pick could be seen as fair value, Smart for Okafor is an overpay.

Lets say we take Fultz and they end up taking Tatum or Monk at #3, or even Isaac. Thye would still be looking for a point guard who doesn't need the ball in his hands (not Smart) and a veteran presence as they try and push for the playoffs. So a good proposal could be

Avery Bradley
Terry Rozier

for

Jahlil Okafor
Sac 19
Robert Covington

This kind of move would only really happen if we miss out on Hayward and we indicate that we are moving away form the compete now model. I don't really see that happening tbh.

There is just no way Jahlil Okafor has anywhere near the value of Avery Bradley. It's not even close. Even if you think Okafor is going to turn things around and become the next Marc Gasol, his current value is nowhere near enough to warrant a return like Bradley in a trade.

Honestly I'd give 76ers Rozier and our two late 2nd rounds for Okafor.  They get a young guard and we get some much needed help in the front court.

I made a thread out of this idea:

BOS Receives = Marquese Chriss Jahlil Okafor Future Pick
BOS Gives Up = Avery Bradley Jae Crowder
DET Receives = Avery Bradley Jae Crowder
DET Gives Up = Stanley Johnson Kentavious CaldwellPope 12th Pick Future Pick
PHX Receives = Stanley Johnson DET 12th Pick & PHI Future Pick
PHX Gives Up = Marquess Chriss
PHI Receives = Kentavious CaldwellPope
PHI Gives Up = Jahlil Okafor Future Pick

Have you? Yes he has a list of shortcomings, but the guy is unstoppable in the paint.  In no universe can you scoff at the word "help" when the player in reference is elite in his skillset.  Hater.....

Why is this response so popular. Almost nobody would make a comment on a player if they hadn't watched him play. This is a basketball blog. We all watch basketball and give our opinions on players. People can disagree.

I see Okafor play and I see a player with good footwork and down low moves and an inconsistant mid range jumper. I also see an atrocious defender, a ball stopper, a poor passer, a player who doesn't know what to do on traps and doubleteams and is overall a massive net negative on his team.

Its okay if you see the same thing. The evidence suggests our opinion is valid. I am sure the poster has some evidence that his opinion is valid. Present your evidence. Don't just ask if someone has seen him play. People who have opinions obviously have seen him play.

Yes, I have actually.  Twice in person and watched 76ers games on TV as well.  So it's funny you'd try to make a stupid comment as this, but just shows your intelligence.

What I offered is something that both team would benefit from in general as where both teams are roster wise.  So before you make comments you might want to think first, it's helpful when trying to have a discussion.  But if you're wanting to just insult someone you might want to do it, if you have grounds to do so.
