There are some delusional people in here. Yes this deal is an overpay if you have to add any Celtic. I would give them Bradley and Fultz in a second.

Some of you really think Fultz will be a better player than Klay with more FGAs, or just in general.

Play is the 2nd best shooter shooter in basketball and an elite defender. He's better at everything than he gets credit for in his role on a stacked team. Fultz ain't sniffing being as good as Klay nor is he a better 2 guard pairing with our All NBA PG.

I hope Fultz is better than Harden, guess I'll just will it into reality lol.

Nothing to argue over though, GS hangs up. They know they have a special player in Klay, not everybody gets off on potential. Hope is for fools.
Golden State got off on potential when they turned down Kevin Love for Klay Thompson.

They continued to get off on potential when they sent Monta Ellis packing to play their young players.

They also were busy getting off on potential when they turned down Rajon Rondo, who at the time had made 3 consecutive all-star games, 4 consecutive all-defense teams. He had just led the Celtics to 7 games against Miami in the playoffs averaging 21-11-7. 2 years prior he had been arguably the Celtics best player in the Celtics shocking run to the NBA finals including signature performances where he effectively ended Lebrons time in Cleveland, in order to keep a 24 year old point guard coming off an ankle injury.

Sometimes hope is for dynasties.

valuewise Klay for Fultz + AB is probably about right, but in this scenario its just not wise.

Klat Thomson is an absolute STUD.  I mean, if he ever leaves golden state he'll be an MVP candidate.  On top of that, he's one of the best defenders in the world.

That said, both Brooklyn picks plus brown (for instance) would be too rich for my blood.
I think you are overrating Thompson. MVP candidate?
If that's the case IT would be a perennial MVP candidate lol
I think Klay would blow up in the same way that harden blew up (I predicted that one too by the way).  And while you can say he gets open looks because of curry, I can also say that he would get better looks, and more consistently get into a rhythm, if he were the main man.

Honestly, I think some of you are confusing him with Harrison Barnes or something.  Dude is a stud.

You thought Harden would improve because he was 21.

You didnt think that Harden was some superstar who was just stuck behind KD.

Klay isnt a great passer and he doesnt seem to really be able to create his own shot. You cant be an MVP candidate without those two things.

In 2014 Klay was already an elite shooter and 2 way player, great compliment to Steph. Love was never the better option, even if Thompson wasn't peaking.

Jaylen however is a kid with a garbage handle, a shaky jumpshot, nothing special happening . He's strictly potential.

Fultz is a top prospect, but he's not much of an athlete. Lillard at best and I don't think he will hit that ceiling.

OK, so you just have a completely different evaluation of Markelle Fultz from pretty much anyone else.

You can laugh at the people on Cs blog, but it is your evaluation of Markelle Fultz that is inconsistent with the rest of the world. Markelle Fultz isnt some surefire superstar, but he most certainly has a higher ceiling than Damian Lillard.

Also, as good as Klay was, he was putting up 18/3/2. Kevin Love had just finished a season putting up 26/13/5 Klay didnt make the all star game and Love made the all star game and finished second team all-nba.

Love was seen as the better player. At that point Klay Thompson was pretty comparable to 2017 Avery Bradley.

Um, wrong.  I KNEW harden was a superstar stuck behind KD. He was ALREADY a superstar when he was in OKC.

i hope he was trying to say - Both BRK picks and any Celtics for Anthony Davis. Because giving GS 2 top 5 pick would help them get even more titles than they are destined to get now with current roster.

Don't read the CHB.   Your life will be much more pleasant.

His stuff jumped the shark years ago.  Now he's mostly just grinding axes & playing the #hotsportstake game.

Really good 6th man =/= superstar. Bit of a long shot to say he was a superstar in OKC when he was dropping a whopping 17ppg, 4apg and 4rpg.

@droopdog.

Your only post about Harden made before his rockets breakout was that you thought Jeff Geeen was a better player in April 2011 and you agreed that Green had higher upside.

Pardon me for not really believing that you knew Harden was a superstar.

I dont even know how you can rationally think this is a good idea. Shaunnesy is a pessimist so I'm sure he agrees we aren't winning the finals with Klay...So why destroy the chance of getting elite championship caliber players through the draft to trade for him?

It comes off as a very lazy dumb take.

Shaugnessy is the biggest clown in the Boston Sports media.

Hates on Brady. Hates on David Price. Hates on the Celtics.  >:(

And just now he started a whole Price vs. Media feud because of his garbage report.

Even Pedro Martinez hated him LOL.

Anyways I would NOT do this deal, and frankly I don't see GSW making this move either right now (why in the world would they right now?? Maybe down the line, yes, but NOT now.)

He actually told us to stop piling on David Price.

Belichick has sign up in the locker room: "Ignore the media."

Too bad the other Boston teams don't adhere to that.
