I now live in FL most of the year, but still spend summers in New England. Seeing/hearing guys like Shaughnessy, Felger/Mazz, Callahan, and a host of other buffoons hits me in the face like a ton of bricks when I come back every June. Luckily those guys don't make it on the national level. Most of the Boston media is a bunch of narcissistic, blundering, know-it-alls.

Still can't beat Boston as a sports city, though.

Met Shaughnessy at a bar once some 25 or so years ago. He was rude, obnoxious and just down right miserable. Just a real p.o.s. of a person. From what I have read of his stuff and listened to over the past two decades on radio, I see he never changed. He constantly shows a complete lack of knowledge on basketball. Not basketball history, he knows that. But the game, how its played and how its managed...he is clueless.
