Re: The Heat. If Hayward is considering them then tax is pretty obviously a draw. Which means that money matters to him. So the talk of him taking $500k less so we can keep x or y isn't going to happen.

The Heat are a good team that probably underperformed on the year, with the addition of Hayward they could be a top 4 team next year. More importantly in 2 or 3 years they could assemble a very good team.

Top 4?? Top 4??

There's a good chance they won't be able to keep Waiters and/or James Johnson once they give Hayward the max. Waiters and Johnson are the big reasons the Heat went on that big run in the 2nd half of the season to give them a chance at the playoffs.

Add Hayward, lose Waiters/Johnson, and that to me is still just a 7 seed at best. I'd still think the likes of Milwaukee, Atlanta and Toronto would be better than them.

Unless it's the Utah GM that thinks this it really isn't news...

Yeah, it's just an opinion, probably based on the same speculation that we've all been doing for month.

guy prolly reads CB! lol

I'd be very happy to add Fultz and Hayward to this team - but if we spend our resources on the perimeter, better hope the two Euro-stash big men better develop into solid NBA rebounders and defenders or we aren't winning anything important.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I agree.  In order for the C's to truly contend for a championship we need a couple of good to great rebounders.  Right now we have zero good rebounders.  Hell, our guards rebound better than our bigs most nights..

True BUT we have Horford and really we shouldn't be giving out another max-contract just to get a "rebounder". This team ALSO NEEDS scoring, especially at the wing position.

You can use an exception or trade for a young, cheap big who can rebound instead.

Griffin would be ideal but it's highly likely he stays and frankly, he's too risky with all his injuries.

The Warriors dont have a great rebounder. Neither do the Spurs.
One of basketballs biggest myths is the need for a Ben Wallace level rebounder on every team.

We also need a scorer, and I think worse than we need a rebounder.   You can win a game where you get outrebounded.   You cannot win a game where you are outscored, period!
