Zizic's trade value

Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that this guy would, in fact, be taken around the 10th pick in this year's draft.  What and/or who could he then land us in a possible trade?  Could he get us a late lottery pick, or would it be more likely that he could fetch a return of one or two mid-first rounders/seconds?  I'm just curious to hear everyone's thoughts on the matter .

Well, given IT is worth a middle 2nd round pick to a vocal contingent of CBers, I'd imagine Zizic would return a relatively new vending machine.

Given our lack of depth at pf/c and with KO/JJ/Amir/Zeller likely on their way out, I am inclined to think he is much more valuable to us than to most teams.

Any trade of Zizic would need to bring back another big.

Zizics value with the team will be higher than his trade value. We will need big bodies and rebounding if we try to go after hayward

why are we trading a young center prospect who hasn't played a game for us yet?  unless he's bringing in a good big man in a trade (which isn't terribly likely) there's no reason to be expecting him to be moved in a deal.  we need good young players on cheap contracts to provide some cap room for free agents.

No way we'd even get a gently used vending machine, never mind a relatively new one.  They'd offer one of those old cigarette ones kids got their smokes from when they stopped selling butts to 9 year olds. Danny would hold out for a future 2nd round pick only to be conferred if the draft occurs during a crescent moon in an odd-numbered year, and talks would stall.

If he could be taken with around the 10th pick, I'd expect he'd get at least around the 10th pick.  Teams don't regularly trade the 10th pick in the draft for the 15th pick in the same draft, and if go on your assumption that he's would be taken with the 10th pick, then that's essentially what your saying by wondering if he could fetch a mid-1st rounder.  Consider also that his salary will be roughly half of what pick #10 gets, and he has even more value.

I don't personally buy into the "he'd be picked around 10" hypothesis, but if he would be, logically that's approximately what he'd bring in return.

If his value is around that of the 10th pick in the draft this year, he would probably net you something around the 10th pick in the draft this year.

Its pretty funny. We finally get a legit big guy who can rebound like crazy and even has a nice shot and toughness, and some people want to get rid of him lol

He'd still be on a 4-year rookie deal, so I'd say his value is wherever a team thinks he'd be better than what they have available to pick in the draft. That means that it will depend on what an individual team thinks of him. My guess is he'd be worth somewhere between the 11-20 picks in this draft, basically a little bit after the "consensus" top 10-11 goes (sometime after Anunoby/Collins/Markannen/Giles/Kennard, that area).
