He's probably calling wade to see if he's down to take the minimum

Love to Boston part 2?

Maybe in a 3-team trade with Indy:

Love to Boston.
George to Cleveland.
BKN '18 + Bradley + Zeller to Indy.

Love at the 4 would make us a dangerous offensive team, and Indy makes out well in this scenario.   Hayward + Love would be a salary cap issue, so I doubt it'd come to fruition.  But I do think we'd challenge for the EC title next year.

That's a no for me, dog. We should probably hoard that 2018 pick with as promising as next year's draft looks already, especially in the frontcourt positions. I also don't think Love's value is anywhere near that value anymore. He doesn't get you George straight up for Cleveland.

I also don't buy this George to Cleveland narrative. I think George wants to beat Lebron, not be his second or third fiddle in Cleveland. I also don't see Indy being too interested in Love as a trade chip (not considering your deal here where he comes here). I could see them threatening to trade George to Cleveland, but mainly in an attempt to get Boston or LA to cough up a bigger deal.

I would only trade the pick if it has top 5 protection.

I can't understand why Boston would want to be part of a deal that sent George to Cleveland and Love to Boston, and had us sending that BKN 2018 pick.  Why would we take the lesser talented player?  It would make much more sense to use that pick to just acquire George ourselves.

It sounds crazy but what if love gets traded back for Wiggins? That opens up like $15m in salary for the cavs to sign another piece. Wiggins puts up more pts and slightly more assists so they don't lose much production other than 7 less rebounds per game  but they make up for it in ppg. Then they go out and sign wade with the remaining $15 mill

Irving
Wade
Wiggins
James
Thompson

Obviously Minnesota wouldn't do the trade and lebron probably whines about it but fun to think about lol

This definitely cheapens the title for me. It sucks knowing the champion of the league didnt even have to work hard to get it. Not that they didnt all personally work hard, but when your team is that vastly superior in terms of talent compared to the rest of the league, are you really working hard?

If pressed, I cant imagine this title feels that special to Curry and the other guys leftover from the previous title squad knowing that.

Disagree.  Players getting together to make a champion has been done before (e.g. Miami Heat).  Why should they feel guilty for doing the same?

Enough with this super team taints the title stuff. Golden state over the past 6 years drafted phenomenal, used the cap space sparingly, and hired a great coach. Of course players are going to want to go there. I have 0 issue with KD going there, and there is no asterisk on this title for me. Golden State has been the best team in the league the last 3 years, and that's on the court and front office combined.

A lot of Lebron fanboys whining today. The Celtics have had several super teams including the original big three plus Ainge, DJ and Walton , and especially  the Russell era hall of fame roster.

The Lakers had super teams, so did the Jordan era Bulls and the Spurs. And of course Lebrons Heat teams.

Kudos to GS and Durant. A well earned banner. I look forward to watching the next Celtics super team end their run. You know, the team that was a #1 seed and still got the #1 pick and more coming.

Windhorst on Mike & Mike this morning was right on cue.   You could practically see Lebron's team pulling the strings.    Lot of backhanded compliments on ESPN this morning.  Greenberg kept pulling "something seems different about this one", seemingly trying to cheapen what GSW just accomplished.

I don't really get it.  What's going on right now isn't new.

Did those teams walk to a title?

This title was won in a conviencing fashion. That shouldn't diminish their result, on the contrary it makes it more important.

I think I've heard every spin possible from Durant/GSW apologists. If you honestly can't see why so many people have taken issue with everything that's happened, starting just over 11 months ago, there is really no point trying to explain it you again now.
