Never has a championship felt so cheap but whatever.

My thoughts exactly, probably will feel the same way next year...and the year after that...and the year after that

I hate that Durant is going to get rewarded for his cowardly move, but I'm pretty glad that it's coming at the expense of Cleveland and Lebron, especially due to the fact that we're going to be the clear number one non-home-team target in free agency for the max-level free agents now, specifically Hayward and Griffin.

Also, a 3-5 record in the Finals is really going to hinder Lebron's legacy as a top-5 player all-time in the long-run. Looking more and more like his situation (being in a weaker Eastern Conference for much of his prime) has really aided his ridiculous Finals trips run.

The salt is real with you, jpotter :).

For real, though, did KD joining the Warriors not rub you the wrong way? I think I took it harder than most, because I literally thought there was zero possibility he would do it due to how bad it would look for him.

The Warriors choking that 3-1 lead last year screwed it all up for us, though. I truly believe Durant would be in Celtics green right now if the Warriors wouldn't have choked last year.

I think Durant would've joined whether the warriors won or not

Naw, he actually literally admitted in an interview during the season that he "couldn't" sign with them if they won the championship and only did so because they lost.

Combine that with the various reports that he would've went to Boston had he not went to GS, and I think he really would've been ours.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

He would've likely stayed with okc

I said to a friend the other day, "If Draymond Green hadn't tackled Michael Beasley in the waning moments of a meaningless first round game last year, Kevin Durant would be on the Celtics." He looked at me like I was crazy. Point being, we can obsess about countless minor turns of fate, but what's the point? The Warriors are a great team, incredible to watch; enjoy that as an NBA fan. We got to see IT become a superstar, an ECF run, and Markelle Fultz is headed our way; enjoy that as a Celtics fan. No need to fret about what could've been, because everyone will look at you the way my friend did.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Lebron didn't join the Celtics after the 2010 season, he went to start something essentially from scratch in Miami. So I don't even like that comparison. What Durant did is next level.

This was the worst NBA Playoffs I can remember, and I've been following closely since the mid-90's.

Just terrible, outside of maybe the C's/Wiz series and Utah/Clips.
