This is the kind of crap that kills me. The officiating is way too subjective.
I dont really have a problem with that.
Not all technical fouls are created equal nor do I think they should be.
I disagree. I think technical fouls should be pretty objective and standard across the board.
I think that would be bad for the game of basketball.
I think objective and standard officiating would be good for the NBA.
nah cmon, weve all played sports and understand a game is gonna be called differently in different situations.
Officials are there to make sure the game doesnt get out of hand, that no team or player has an unfair competitive advantage, and to keep players safe.
This is most effectively done through fluid officiating.
Also it's the easy way to control the outcome of games. MLB has a very consistent strike zone and safe out rules. MBL is easy to officiate but NFL has got to be the hardest and they only have a half dozen questionable calls a game compared to the NBA with dozens per half in most games. Fluid officiating is just controlling out comes...
Listen, I dont mean that I think superstars should be able to do whatever the
Edited. Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. they want.
The NBA has serious officiating problems and perhaps, telling officials to call everything exactly to the book would result in better than what we have now, but in a perfect world things would be called while paying some mind to the situation.
In the NFL holding could be called on every play. Then there was the superbowl a few years back where there was textbook defensive holding on the final play and people pretty much agreed "you arent getting that call, with 2 seconds left in the super bowl"
