i'm enjoying this

Meh, I don't see how any Cs fan could really be enjoying this. I understand the LeBron hate—I have a fair share of that—but GS is no better. Green is dirty, Durant joined up with his enemy, and Curry has developed a bit of an attitude (on court, at least) over the past few seasons. Plus they have the Hitman Pachulia.

Just seems to me that both teams, while featuring a lot of talent, are full of jerks and equally deserving of our derision. Not to mention that if we ever get past Cleveland, it's likely that GS will be there waiting for us. Both of these teams are the enemy.

It's not a personality thing.  The Warriors play an aesthetically appealing (to me) style of basketball.

Same for me.  I'm not a big fan of either team's personality or their individual players.  But they play a beautiful style of basketball, and the talent level is otherworldly.

Golden state has the best point guard in the world, best shooting guard, and best small forward

Every championships that LeBron James has won in, he's lost a Game 1 in each of those series.

Not really a stat since he lost most game 1s of his final series.

Sometimes I feel like lebron extends series a game or 2 to pad his stats. Today he passed magic johnson for 8th on a rebounding record, I think it was playoff rebounds

Tough night to be a Lebron fanboy. If someone wants to be talked about as the greatest ever the buck stops with them.

Meh, still way too much pick and roll for me :-\. I do like how they split the post, though.  They're kind of like a watered-down version of the UConn women, imo.

Dear Gordon Hayward.

Do you really want to be in the same conference as these Golden State Warriors?

And San Antonio, and Houston, and gritty teams like OKC, MEM who are also real tough for Utah.

West overall > East

Yup and if he comes to Boston, he will only have the Cavs to deal with.  Come to Boston, Gordon.

I am not at all a fan of a player who leaves a team to move away from tougher competition to play against easier competition. That puts them in a similar category as Lebron James and Kevin Durant.

Did Cowens try to get away from the early 70's Knicks ? Did Bird want to leave the East because his team had to go thru Philly and Milwaukee and, later, Detroit ? For that matter as well, even though I am not a Jordan fan, he didn't want to leave the Bulls so he wouldn't have to get through those tough Detroit teams early in his career.

Eh? Entirely different. What Lebron and Durant did wasnt moving away from tougher competition, they tried went to a better situation to battle the tough competition.

Irving is the best ball handler and great individual player.    Im not sure he makes his team mates very much better.  Not much team ball goes on between Bron and Irving.  Its an individual show boat act of those two.

Also, it can't be Gordon Hayward's fault that the East is naturally weak. Almost everybody decided to hop on the West. Plus, KD35 leaving OKC made them weaker by joining a stacked GSW team.

TP for brutal honesty but I think you underestimate their capacity to make up excuses.  LeBron is going to have to man up and stop  Durant from scoring.   He is going to hope his team mates play better and that the warriors don't.

For those curious,

Ratings were down 5% for game 1 nationally compared to last year. Down 6% in cleveland and bay area. The ratings are still the 3rd highest ever.

If Golden State stomps them tomorrow again I think these numbers could get bad for the league. If the Warriors are in the finals next year against Cleveland...
