Could be this years Brogdon

His teammate Dozier has a higher ceiling though.

I'll take him for the name alone.

Imagine Tommy pronouncing it...

That's the vibe I get, although I can't help but think Brogdon's athleticism was simply too underrated and Thornwell might not have that same athletic ability.

TP!

I'd love us to draft Dozier! If he somehow develops a decent jumper, he has the tools to become a very good 2-way player!

Indeed a smooth name, a bit like Kantavious Caldwell-Pope.

Tommy would just call him something like the "medium" guy

Dozier is 6'7 with a 6'11 wingspan PG/SG

Livingstone/Hardaway territory

Thornwell does have a 6'10 wingspan.  Physical guard...   overall reminds me of Marcus Smart

Not as good Iso D or overall D....but better than average (college ball)...physical , tough, good motor.....  has a better offensive game than Smart though... NBA offensive skills

Size wise, yes, but light years away in terms of skills.

of course...otherwise a top 5 pick

but he and thornwell took a pretty no name SC squad to the final 4...it was impressive as heck

Dozier is a versatile guard...  tough defender...can defend multiple positions...

jump shot needs work (not broken).... handles and ability to finish close to basket is very good

Quite a solid shooter and decent (not good nor bad) defender. Would likely be able to be decent contributor right away - not sure how well he'd fit in with our multitude of guards.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I'd love Thornwell as the 56 pick and put him on one of the 2-way contracts to Maine. Maybe Dozier slips to 53 and we can just have both start on the Red Claws next year  ::)
