Jaylen could bring the ball up and act as a point-forward like AWalker and PP did.
Jaylen does not have the handle or passing skills to play point forward. He averages .8 APG, that alone ought to tell passing isn't his game. I also do not want to taint this kid by placing him to play like Antione Walker.
This was not a serious post dude. But even though he played the role of ph horribly don't forget AB took over a lot of those duties, including in the playoff series vs Knicks, when RR went down. Just throwing ideas out there with the only goal of seeing Jaylen get more pt. He's only played 20 mpg basically in the ECF, I'd like to see him play 30+ (preferably 35).
He's a 1&done rookie and a high ceiling prospect, in all honesty neither of us know what he is or isn't capable of. And using regular season stats to rule out how he will play is an approach I would not use....IT has been killing it this series right? Also, Jaylen's handles and passing skills are fine for a 2/3. He was getting wherever he wanted yesterday, which is impressive considering he is a rookie.
I get that AB and Jaylen as a back-court is crazy but it was an idea to keep him on the court and not foul out by defending Lebron till he fouls out in less than 20 minutes. Jaylen is a 2/3 and AB has to play. Just getting creative on a, possible non-starting lineup where can we put Jaylen so he get's 30+ minutes the next 2 games and he does not foul out by getting stuck on Lebron.
