He's got the size, athleticism, and poise to play with the big boys.

Unlike everyone else on this team...

Since starting Brown won't change the outcome of this series, the only problem I see is if he gets an injury that is serious enough to effect him next season. My gut feeling though is that it is time to let him show what he can do.

You have to start him. The future begins now.

GRAVY, baby.

No one will recognize your players until you promote them. Promote your players as superstars and then the zebras will respect them.

I hope he does.  It's fun watching him right now.  It's nice to see his fight and aggression; he looks good.  Smart was the same way when he was in.
Jaylen has the talent and potential. Smart has gotten slower since he was drafted and looks overweight. He can't get by anybody and is all over the place on offense. If you like Smart and think he is good that is fine.  I used to believe he could actually improve his quickness but he never lost the weight and still is has the record for worst bf% out of any recorded PG taken in the lottery. I especially do not see why we keep Smart considering we are getting Fultz and Brown is a beast.  Sorry for the tangent dude, Smart/ IT/ AB really get under my skin.

Deserves to start ahead of Crowder.

The only explanation is to make him learn to stay away from foul trouble. No other.

I keep Smart if Bradley is traded in order to keep a top defensive guard on the team.

Yup. Start him at the 3. Crowder can think on the bench and bring some fire when he gets time.
I like Green and Kelley to catch fire at some point too.

Crowder is not going to the bench.  Stevens is not going to disrespect a guy who is very much a part of what got them to 53 wins.

Obvious answer is starting him instead of Green, but that doesn't mean this team is going to start making shots.

Even if we have to pay him $14m next off-season or risk having him walk, in which case we lose all value for him. Is there another defensive guard out there that we could pickup ala Tony Allen mold. I am not concerned with Smarts defense at all it's great but are we really going to resign him after drafting Fultz and the emergence of Jaylen (IMO as of now Jaylen is fine at the 2).

Who are the best defenders out there that are get-able? It's def interesting and would of course be good to have good defensive guards on a team with 2 young studs and keep our culture alive.

Other than injury risks, I don't think there is.

Jae Crowder hasn't really been productive this series, give Jaylen a shot. Whether or not it's going to make a difference is another question, but we're going to have to see what he has anyway, might as well be now.

Crazy thought. If IT is out game 3 experiment with AB at "point" and Jaylen at the 2. Jaylen could bring the ball up and act as a point-forward like AWalker and PP did. This may not be a good idea to start the game but we can use it on them if/when Brown enters the game as 6th man.

AB
Jaylen
Crowder
Green
Horford

Hell, at this point, start Jaylen, Rozier, Smart, Mickey and Zeller.

The main guys have checked out, so why start them? Why play them at all?

We could field a squad of hard working D-Leaguers and probably not lose as badly as they lost last night.
