It was a good season. Not sure Hayward or anyone can stop lebron

yeah ......he mowed down the Raptors too.....and their coach might get fired because he said there was no way to stop it .

GS could be pulverized too.  NO Kerr to coach them .  ......could be ugly too.

Lebron have trouble against any team with elite/above average wing defender (Kawhi, Iggy, Marion, Tony Allen)

This is why I want Jackson over Fultz
Very shortsighted.  Jackson isn't going to slow him down either.  Take the best player.

Jackson could be the best player in the draft. I don't believe consensuses as they are proven wrong most of the time.

It's funny, this team is almost made to lose to Cleveland. Cleveland are good at everything the Celtics are bad at.

super teams are still good for the NBA?

If they got rid of 6-8 teams the NBA would be much better. There are just too many mediocre players starting that should be bench guys. That's why you can't top 1980s NBA before all the expansion and star call rules changes. The NBA should have just let the Warriors Cavs play from the get go less chance of injury.

amen brother -- TP

been say n this for 20 years ......NBA is watered down with too many teams.

the little engine that could against the big, bad wolf...
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

They need to stop thinking about the score. Just play each possession. They let the score dictate their play and they get sloppy forcing things. Just build on things for the series find what works that can help you next game. They are a total mess out there.

1. Trade IT for a top 10 pick this year
2. Move Crowder to the bench (he's cheap)
3. Let Washington and Milwaukee endure Cleveland for the next 3 years.
4. Draft good, coach up
5. Go on a multi-year run

yep and if we suck and tank next year i am fine with it

i could not care less about wins anymore until they actually equal titles.

play brown, fultz, zizic rozoer all next year...we go 0-82? who cares. trial by fire

We've gotten better each year under Brad. We'll be even better next year after we add a couple of shot creators...

IT won't get you a top 10 pick in any year.

Do you think the Cavs play their starters?

You can be outclassed in terms of talent, but to give no effort and get destroyed like this is just inexcusable.  No team in this league should get outscored by 40 in a half. That just means you're not trying hard enough.

This team is good enough to beat anyone in the East but Cleveland. They are 3 or 4 years away from that as things are constructed

This.

The team is good, but they aren't that good. This is just showing that there is still work to be done to bring them up to that elite echelon. The series isn't over, I know, but it is what it is. The Cavs are toying with them, walking all over them, and the Celts aren't even fighting back. With that being said, they got this far and I told myself that no matter what happened in this series, I was content with how the season went overall and the progress that this organization has made ever since they entered rebuild mode post-trading KG and Pierce. They'll get there.

Thomas has to be hurt. He just looks like he is not there mentally or physically

He's not there vertically.

This is what happens to 5'10'-in-shoes players who have a 1% margin of error up against a top defense in the playoffs.

Just not enough elite talent in the NBA these days. Guys coming in are not nearly as good or polished. Only really may 10 elite players and most are on the same team

They are just mentally and physically exhausted especially IT! The Garden should just give them a hand and leave it at that!!

I hope James Young gets to start the half

I'd be OK with that.  It's his last home game in a Celtics jersey.  Farewell game for James Young.  Good to know ya James. (not really)

Why would you stop there? Rozier, Young, Jerebko, Brown and Zeller would be my starters the rest of the series. Thomas, Bradley, Crowder and Horford don't deserve to the see the floor.

IT not starting half?  guess they figured it wasn't worth playing him.

going to Smart in the post was a good change but who committed the foul?
