What you've seen in the first two games are as big of statement games as you'll ever see.

Lebron wasn't going to be satisfied with mere victories.  He wanted utter dominance and outright humiliation.  And he's in a perfect position to do so.

I think it's also a pretty resounding statement about this Celtics team.

They were over matched from opening tip of game one and instead of fighting like underdogs they have mostly just played tight and gotten destroyed.

Sounds like a good recipe for a 40 point smackdown.

edit; check that, 50
Yup

We also have an idea of how far the Celtics have to go.  They're not close to contending at this point.  Then again neither are 28 other teams right now.

Good thing most of you guys are in tall buildings because you all sound like you would be jumpers. All because of a couple losses.

Geesh. Get a grip. This team isnt on the same level as the Cavs and you all know it.

If the played good it would mean a close game or a win
If they played average it would mean a loss, probably double digits
If they played poorly, and they have these last two games, they would get blown out

You all knew this.

very true ...good point ...well stated

im still for trading IT for all we can get ......he is not the answer to beating Lebron during his rein as King.  Should invest in younger players that can play when Lebron steps down.

Cavs know Boston has nobody other than IT that can score on them. Danny has to upgrade this roster

What do you mean "other than IT"?

IT CAN'T SCORE ON THEM, EITHER.

Good lord, how many fans here are going to react to this by thinking that we need to surround IT with more talent? Isaiah is a warrior and all, love him, but come on, wake up.

That is kind of my point. The roster from 1-15 is not good enough

Losing by 50 was not something I expected

We'd be blown out even with Durant tonight.

Nice shot from Jaylen.  If he develops a consistent midrange game he will be deadly.

Yeah, it's ridiculous.

I'm trying to not be too harsh on Isaiah, given what happened to his sister and all, but I really don't want to pay him the max, that's just insanity.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Durant could've gotten 53 points, so....

My niece's rec soccer league has two mercy rules. One: the losing team gets to add players for every goal scored once the deficit is at least 7 and two: the game can be allowed to end by mutual agreement from the coaches.

I'm trying to think which would be more embarrassing for adults. Having 10 Celtics on the floor vs. 5 Cavs players or forfeiting the game. Hmmm....

I hope the crowd gives the team a salute.

Three high power games in one week  after a gruesome seven game series when your much better opponent has not played in a couple of weeks is tough, and it shows.
