George would be our best player with IT and Horford.  Watching Horford get dominated by love and IT  have a subpar game just makes me think we got punched in the mouth game one. AB had the best game out of anyone.

I don't think George is necessarily a lebron beater either.  Being here we are gaining recognition from stars around the league though which is good.

We know he isn't. LeBron practically averaged a TD with 33 PPG against the Pacers round 1 in an epic sweep. He destroyed PG..

I mean, PG did average 28 pts, 8.8 rbs, and 7.3 in that series... He might not be a "Lebron beater" but he's at least capable of inflicting damage of his own.

LeBron is simply transcendent at this point in his career. He's on a completely different level. He's like Bird in '86. There's no beating him period. When a team has an ATG at the peak of his powers, trying to beat him by collecting lesser stars is simply foolhardy. At that point the only thing to do is keep building for when that player slows down or suffers an injury. Pistons had to wait until the C's got old before they could have their shot.

LeBron is far from the peak of his powers.  That's why Boston wound up with the #1 seed in the East.  23-year-old LeBron won 66 games with Mo Williams and Zydrunas Ilgauskas as his running buddies and took the Cavs to the East Finals.  THIS version of LeBron wouldn't come close to that.

But like Toby Keith says, LeBron's not as good as he once was but he's as good once as he ever was.  He can still get to a level beyond what anyone else can do, but he can't maintain it nearly as long.

Cleveland and cant forget Golden State too.  They are going to continue to make moves. Better than having a guy like George or someone else go to those teams. But we may be the team that is chasing them and have to do it some other way.  I dont want to end up like the lakers vs celtics back in the 50's and 60's when jerry west was always on the outside looking in for sure. He knows this.  It's why he's doing what he is in Golden State

You have to take into account both sides ultimately.  It's a tough decision. The series isn't even over yet though.

I prefer a more long term window in ways right this second. That could change.

LeBron coasts now. Sure in the regular season he's not what he was. But who can deny that once the playoffs started he is the best player in the L and it's not even close..

With the rising Nba cap these super teams can keep adding players too. We either beat them to the punch on that, or the draft may be our best option where we load up then add free agents because we have players on rookie deals.

This continues to be the silliest argument I hear regarding trying to improve this team now. "X and Y are just too good, wait till they're done."

Lebron could very well reign over the Eastern Conference for the next 5 years, he could blow out his knee next week. And when what happens when while we're waiting for Lebron and the Jamettes to fall off, another super team grows and gets their first? Do we defer again for another 5 years?

And while I think Cleveland is a fantastic team, I don't think they're unbeatable. They legitimately have no worthy challengers. The closest was supposed to be Toronto, but their offense is so predictable that always seemed like a long shot.

I think we should put together the best team possible, play hard and be opportunistic.

Who says we wouldn't try to improve the team. Is drafting Markelle Fultz, presumed to be the best No1 pick since Lebron, not improving the team? Is pursuing Gordon Hayward not trying to improve the team? There are lots of ways to improve the team that don't involve PG

The #1 pick is valuable. I love Paul Pierce and all but he's also not completely in tune with the state of the nba right now. Bird great player made the same mistakes.

Well, the All-NBA teams worked out about as good as they could have.

I fully expect Indiana to trade Indy now. There's no way he's staying there.

As for Hayward, that's less certain, but I think we have a really good shot of signing him now.

Fultz is a COMBO guard who happened to play PG in college.  He shot 41.3% from 3 and is totally fine playing on or off ball.  He could take Rozier's minutes and someone else's his first year and long term, he is our best option for that value.

I think we likely trade Crowder + Bk 18 as the core of a package for a player like Porzingis or something, who knows?

We can sign Hayward outright.  Zeller, Amir, KO, Mickey, Jerebko, Young and Green are making a combined $32,123,298 this year and on one year deals.  We can get rid of all of them, sign Hayward for the estimated maximum of $30,600,000 and still have money left over.

I don't think lebron is unbeatable by any means. What does concern me is these teams can keep adding players themselves.  Having the #1 pick and the ability to do that ourselves is important that way.  I wouldnt necessarily trade the pick.

I would not waste any motion whatsoever or value to this team.  We have gotten this far for a reason. Yes Paul George is good. If it comes down to us or him going elsewhere we might have to pull the trigger but definately not my first choice.

With the PG13 saying that he'd like the play with Hayward chat, I think there would be a good chance at getting him if the C's traded for PG13.

I'm wondering if DA threw in Zizic,2017,2018nets and who ever to make contracts work if we could get Turner too. Get us a big next to Horford, and a young guy to build up next to Brown. It's doubtful, but giving the Zizic with 2018nets could get them a replacement big, so they could actually come out better in the long run.

Come on Indy, be dumb and desperate!LOL

Oh Pg13 needs to sign and extension, not taking a chance with two top picks on a guy who may bolt.

Wait what? Link when did PG say he'd like to play with Hayward?

If he is willing to sign an extension... Celtics will need to think hard about pulling the trigger

PG is one of the few guys that has gone 1 on 1 vs Lebron and won battles...won games... taken the heat to 6-7 games

If we sign hayward and draft fultz wouldnt that entice george anyways? We'd still have the 18 and all these other picks and cap space to sign a guy like george outright too.   Paul George is a free agent in 2018.  Why are we trading the pick for him?

Not to be greedy but to win championships you kind of have to be especially against ****s like lebron.  he'd be the first to be that way.

You can't sign Hayward, George, IT4 to large deals

plus Fultz, Brown, Smart etc.
