There is no team in the East with the defense to stop Cleveland. The Celtics could shoot 50% in a game and still lose.
That's not true at all. Boston earlier in the game were 1-15 from three - and most of those were wide open - and were down by like 20 points.
If Boston hits half those threes, that's 20+ extra points and you have a tied game.
In addition to that, how many layups has Horford missed? How many relatively open midrange jumpers have we missed? We can't buy a basket.
Then ON TOP of that we are getting murdered on the boards, and we have made a number of careless turnovers.
All of that taken into account we should be down by 40 right now - the fact that it's 'only' a 24 point game is all the proof you need that this Cleveland team is very much beatable.
Boston is doing the exact same thing they did in the first two games at Chicago, and each home game at Washington - they are playing like total trash. How many times did Boston go down by 20+ points against Washington?
This result so far has NOTHING to do with Cleveland's play and EVERYTHING to do with Boston's play. If Boston plays like they are perfectly capable of (with energy, with effort, with physicality) there is absolutely no doubt that they can beat this Cleveland team on any given night.
