Wonder since the Cs landed #1, if they draft Fultz, will they concentrate on trading the Nets 2018 pick with players for that needed superstar. If they feel Fultz is a cornerstone I figure if they go after Butler, George or some other star, its the 2018 pick that gets dealt.

Yeah, I'd sell high on that 2018 Nets pick. I think they are going to be a bit better this year.

What number will Fultz wear?

He wore 20 in college, which is one of the few numbers we actually have available.

Hayward also wears 20

We don't need Hayward.

who do we grab in FA?

or do we make a trade?  is butler worth it? will he give us what we need?

We need an athletic big.

Griffin is plays more fundamentally now and less reliant on athleticism.

Yeah -- I would think that both Nets 2018 and Jaylen Brown are in the thinking about how they can create a tempting package for a star without losing Fultz.

The true beauty of this pick is the fact we got it via swap.

Why a swap?

To circumvent the Stepien rule...in other words, in true, old school Auerbach fashion.  ;D
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

got a little confused with that Kings pick

i thought the analyst was saying that...it was going to jump into the top three and the 76ers could swap??

but Sac only dropped to #5 and will get the pick

what was the deal with this?

If the lottery is rigged - IF - I think that works in our favor this year.

My "rigged prediction":

Boston #1
LA #2
Phoenix #3

If the fix is in,IMO the league's top objective would be to give the Lakers at top-3 pick so that they keep this year's and the 2019 picks, and have a shot at Ball as well.

Having us #1 insures that there will be plenty of drama leading up to the draft - does Ball scorn the C's and refuse to work out for them? Does Ainge draft Ball anyways just to spite LA, or does he draft Fultz and create a long-term rivalry between the two players?

Keeping Boston at #1 and Phoenix at #3 also means the draft order is relatively unchanged, which makes it appear more legitimate. Phoenix might be annoyed, but they won't be THAT mad if they drop a slot.

Boston on the other hand has had terrible luck in the lottery and is due for a break. It also gives us more leverage to trade the pick for a superstar to become a contender. The league needs more good teams to challenge the Warriors and Cavs, and the big-market C's would be a nice addition to the fold.

So it works for everybody!

I told y'all!!!!!!

Funny thing is that Philly - the team most hurt by the Lakers keeping their pick - got #3.

Orlando magic fans must be livid.

Ball is not even on the radar.... Fultz is a Celtic.

I agree. The media will eat this story up though. We're going to hear about Fultz vs Ball a LOT.

Bravo, Adam Silver

Brown could be better than Fultz. Wouldn't think of trading him.

I hope he means trade the pick for an established star that they have had their eye on for a while, or take Fultz.
