What number will Fultz wear?

He wore 20 in college, which is one of the few numbers we actually have available.

Hayward also wears 20

We don't need Hayward.

who do we grab in FA?

or do we make a trade?  is butler worth it? will he give us what we need?
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Love Butler, but #1 pick alone > Butler. And they'll want more too...  :o

Wonder since the Cs landed #1, if they draft Fultz, will they concentrate on trading the Nets 2018 pick with players for that needed superstar. If they feel Fultz is a cornerstone I figure if they go after Butler, George or some other star, its the 2018 pick that gets dealt.

no. That pick will go a long way towards extending this teams contention window

And look what I leave behind for the Celts on my way out #1 pick😂👌🏾🙏🔥

Lol look what Pierce tweeted!

And that is why you CANNOT trade that pick. That is bad juju. Draft Fultz give him #20 !!!!

I love Bradley .... but he would be GREAT in a backcourt with Simmons ... any chance Philly goes for:

Bradley
MN 2nd (2017)
BOS 1st (2018)
Clippers 1st (2019)
Memphis 1st (2019)

For the #3

If so, we could use #3 in a trade for Butler (for #3, Zeller, Crowder, misc.)

That would leave us with:
Isaiah, Fultz, Butler, etc.

What this pick provides Danny with is options, options, options.

Does this pick open the door for an offer for Davis or Towns?   I can't imagine Davis would be possible, but DA might now be able to make a tempting offer.

If the lottery is rigged - IF - I think that works in our favor this year.

My "rigged prediction":

Boston #1
LA #2
Phoenix #3

If the fix is in,IMO the league's top objective would be to give the Lakers at top-3 pick so that they keep this year's and the 2019 picks, and have a shot at Ball as well.

Having us #1 insures that there will be plenty of drama leading up to the draft - does Ball scorn the C's and refuse to work out for them? Does Ainge draft Ball anyways just to spite LA, or does he draft Fultz and create a long-term rivalry between the two players?

Keeping Boston at #1 and Phoenix at #3 also means the draft order is relatively unchanged, which makes it appear more legitimate. Phoenix might be annoyed, but they won't be THAT mad if they drop a slot.

Boston on the other hand has had terrible luck in the lottery and is due for a break. It also gives us more leverage to trade the pick for a superstar to become a contender. The league needs more good teams to challenge the Warriors and Cavs, and the big-market C's would be a nice addition to the fold.

So it works for everybody!

I told y'all!!!!!!

Funny thing is that Philly - the team most hurt by the Lakers keeping their pick - got #3.

Orlando magic fans must be livid.

Would Philly trade Saric and the 3rd pick for the first ovrrall? Would you?
I would.. I think Jackson is the prize anyway and Saric fills a major hole.

I'd offer Philly--- #1, future Celtics pick (s), and Crowder for #3 and Simmons.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Agreed.

Should we decide to trade the pick, we should not have to add any other pieces.

It would be a different story if the pick was #2 or lower, but at #1, we're the side who gives up the most valuable piece in pretty much any trade for anyone not named Lebron, KD or Anthony Davis.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Ball is not even on the radar.... Fultz is a Celtic.
