He knew he was coming into a hostile crowd last night and it didn't seem to phase him.  He and Beal seemed to be the only two wizards that looked like they wanted to be there.  Played some great defense on IT.

I was expecting a meltdown or subdued game from him, but he proved me wrong.

Not bad for a 21 year old. I have a feeling we will be seeing him coming the other way for many years to come.

Fun Fact:  He was the number 15 pick in the 2015 draft one ahead of Rozier. (FYI I think Rozier has a brighter future.)

Jaylen Brown will own this idiot in the future...I saw some of it last night, how he was more athletic than the athletic Oubre.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Well, get mildly unimpressed with Kelly Oubre, Phil!

Edit: New phone's autocorrect for "Oubre" was a Spanish word for female reproductive organ. So I highly recommend the Galaxy s8 to Celtics fans.   :D

Yes, his defense on IT was suffering.  IT had to resort to that BS pull-down to get a bogus call.  (I'm a C's fan, so don't jump on me.  I just hate seeing that dirty play).

Me too.

Oubre played better than I thought and showed poise beyond his years in a hostile environment.

He is talented but needs to continue to manage his emotions.

There are more "dirtier" players out there than Olynyk (See Draymond).

Yeah, it's interesting. I always thought of Oubre as a Jaylen-like player with explosiveness and athleticism. He is athletic, but he's more long and wiry than athletic. I was both impressed and unimpressed by him at the same time somehow.

Showed little in college...I couldn't understand why he left after one year, let alone go as high as he did....he has been impressive all series.....I could same the same about Trevor Ariza and he has had  a strong career

I'm much more impressed by Otto Porter. He's turned into a very solid player. I generally think of the 2013 draft as one of the weakest in recent memory but despite the high expectations of a top 3 pick I think he's finally turning into a very good NBA player.

Kelly Oubre is what James Young should've been in his second year. Coming into Oubre's draft, I thought they were comparable in terms of ceiling and bust potential. Oubre looks like he won't be a bust.

Aside from his play on the court, it seemed like he was the only Wizard who wasn't a baby about the chants.

Wall was "surprised" they chanted an obscene word.

Beale thought they took it "too far."

Kelly said his name was still ringing in his ears b/c the chants were so loud, but he expected it - then he said he wants to (and they need to) win game 6 so he can come back on Monday to here it all again.

Glad to see he took it in stride.
