Given how far the team has come in the past two years, it's amazing how it's still a reasonable prediction to expect a sweep by the Cavs. Shows how big the gap between them and the rest of the conference really is.

I don't know. I certainly would eat my hat on the Raptor series, because I thought that would be a very competitive series (and the Cavs really did not play that great in the first round despite it being a sweep over a one man team). Was this second round series against the Raptors the Cavs forcing the Raptor into looking terrible? Impossible to judge with 1.5 games of healthy lowry? The Raptors just playing awful? In the spirit of not angering the basketball gods I would say I am very interested in seeing whether the Wiz or Celtics can give a competitive series, or whether the Cavs did really completely turn a switch from awful defense and mediocre play for 3 months.

yup. we have tons of work to do these next few offseasons. we need to be ready to dethrone lebron in  2 or at least 3 years. that is 7 years from rebuild start time.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Anyone notice how KO actually defended lebron well this year , especially when he switched onto him.

Main defenders for Lebron would be Jae, Smart, Jerebko/Brown

For Kyrie - AB, Smart, Rozier

For Love - Amir, Ko ( I think Horford is the only big man that can keep Thompson from killing us on the boards).

Try to hide IT on Smith, but don't want him chasing korver everywhere using energy.
I am not worrying IT's energy at all, korver is the one going to be worm down
why Korver wouldn't guard IT, Irving, Shumpert, or Smith would.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

so we're all just not going to acknowledge we still have at least 1 game left against the wizards?

do we really expect crowder and AB to put up another game like that? they're only good like that once every 6 games or so.

The only way we beat cavs

1) outscore them in an offensive gunslinging match
2) prevent/slow down lebron from getting into the paint.... Then all they can do is play hot potato around the perimeter

For a good part of the game you need jaylen on lebron and ab/rozier/smart locked into Irving

You have crowder or smart on lebron for long stretches forget it...

there. made that a bit simpler for you.  ;D

I like the Celtics chances if they can outscore the Cavs   ;D

Got to outscore the Wiz one more time.

GO CELTS!
Yup

if we get by John Wall ....50 /50 shot

Lebrons is set to go full superhuman mode , ....like a giant panther waiting to slaughter a pack of lambs.

Celtics give him TWO good games make him work.  Close games.  He is just too much playing 44 minutes a game .  He seems healthy as a stud bull.  SMH

4 game Lebron Sweep is very possible.

If Lebron is not hurt , there is no way Celtics are beating him ....this year ...maybe next .

we need devine help......or massive lady luck to win even one game.

cousins would have really helped in a match against Lebron.  :-X
