  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Very high on Zizic and Yabusele. I like Nader too.

non-existant as best as i can tell. i have seen him take the occasional mid range jumper.

i dont know whether he can develop an outside shot or not. many centers who did not take 3 pointers have developed that shot. maybe he can as well. maybe.

Why do people keep thinking that Nader and Yabusele will ever be NBA players? Nader will be 24 before next season starts and hasn't played a single NBA minute yet.

Jonathon Simmons played his first NBA minute at 26 years old.

this is a non-sequitur. the first does not logically or automatically lead to the second.

nader, you have a point since he has shown so little and was only a second round pick. being younger would not have helped him since he has limited talent. so the age is superfluous in this case. but any hype here at cb around nader is usually tempered. there are a few fanboys, but not many. so please, refine the pool of people you include in "people."

yabusele will be 21 at the start of next season. not ancient. i dont know how he will pan out. but not having played in the nba is a condition each and every nba player faced at sometime in their lives. so lets wait and see. he can shoot 3 pointers.

as for internatonal players who entered the nba later in their lives:

Arvydas Sabonis comes to mind as someone who fit the first, but not the second point you make. hard to argue he wasnt nba quality.

Pero Antic, not a star, but entered the nba at the ancient age of 31 and played 2 years.

Pablo Prigioni, a bench player for 3 years, but came in at the age of 35, so 3 years is impressive. though, he was born when dinosaurs still roamed the earth.

would you please share with us some of the observations you made on Nader? I would like to know more about him as a player. does he have a role next year as the 14th or 15th player on the celtics?

i dont know, but would appreciate your observations of him.

thanks.

Apart from the fact that the title and the tread itself say nothing, can you tell me why you do not write using capital letters? Ante Zizic, DonCic, Yabusele, Nader, Nets.  :(

I believe rollie is only able to type with one hand because of health issues. It takes a little getting used to, but there is insight in many of his responses.

You are right about the title, though - probably could be a little more descriptive. Sorry, Rollie  ;)

I view Nader and Yabu as potential role players. Nader has the perfect 3-D profile. .Yabu has a very intriguing physical profile and offensive set of skills. Though compete opposites in term of physical profiles Yabu may fit a similar offense off the bench niche as KO.

Zizic looks to be a solid old school starting 5. His ability to defend the P&R will dictate his early court time. I suspect he earns a solid 15-20 min off the bench next season and provide much needed toughness and rebounding in the paint.
