I could not find the old thread about who should start anyway Brad hinted at a lineup change. Who do you guys think gets the nod? I'm thinking JJ he had some god energy minutes last game. Amir is a walking corpse.

JJ or Brown would be both my preference and guess.

If you start either one of those guys you keep the trio of Marcus, KO, and Rozier as your second unit, which has worked well for the rotations so far.

Jaylen Brown should start he has a 7 foot wingspan and a 8 foot 7inch standing reach. We need length and we need 3pt sooting from the corners, both of which Jaylen can provide. Jaylen also brings a ton of energy to the floor.

Jaylen Brown.

It seems like Gerald Green's magic has begun to wear off a little.

Jaylen Brown typically plays great with the starters.

I say: give the kid a shot !

P.s. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how much Jaylen has improved defensively since the beginning of the season? Obviously not unexpected but I think the level of improvement is greater than I thought was possible for a rookie.

I think it is Jaylen or JJ. My gut says JJ because he is a veteran and CBS already did something similar in last year's playoffs. Keeping Jaylen on the bench also gives that bench unit some continuity as well.

I still want Rozier.  I saw Jaylen look real bad in DC in person twice this season.  I know how that story plays out.

I bet we have some schemes/traps for Wall or whoever IT is defending it's probably asking too much from Jaylen. I think it'll be JJ we've had slow starts and he brings a ton of energy also can put the ball on the floor.

JJ or Brown, preferably JJ to give us a bit more length and toughness from our bigs.

Let Porter try and beat us by isolating on IT. I doubt he'll be as good as he was last game.

JJ and Zeller were both in starter green at practice today. I have to imagine that JJ gets the start over Zeller with the extra spacing he provides. He's a better matchup to guard Morris, too.

I would go with Jerebko.  I think Gortat would manhandle Zeller.  Jerebko probably gets beat too, but at least he gives us spacing.  Zeller gives us nothing on offense.

One thing is certain, Horford can't handle both bigs on his own, he needs some kind of help.  Stevens doesn't want to mess up his bench rotation, which is understandable, but Olynyk really is the only good(ish) choice here.  It seems clear that won't be happening, though.

I would start with KO and put JJ in the rotation off the bench. Put KO on Gortat and Horford on Morris.

I might lean Brown because he does so much better when he is with the starters.

Put Brown on Porter and Crowder on Morris. If Crowder struggles with Morris, Id immediately pull Brown, shift Horford to the 4 and put Olynyk in on Gortat.

I expect Stevens to either start Jerebko or Amir.

I would start with KO and put JJ in the rotation off the bench. Put KO on Gortat and Horford on Morris.

This might be the best idea. KO stretches the floor so that one of the bigs has to guard him.
And I don't think JJ can match with Morris or Porter from an athletic standpoint.  JJ does hit the boards hard.
If you have isolated on Jaylen's defense, he is making alot of mistakes.
I don't see him having the same offensive swag either. Ever since his run-in with Marcus Smart he seems like a different player.

KO stretches the floor so that one of the bigs has to guard him.  I also think that Brad has to have a tighter leash on Smart. His turnovers are inexcusable at this stage of play. He has at least 5 passes in the last two games that could have been additional TO's. He's got to play within himself.

We need to start off better, faster and add some scoring punch with defense. I say

AB - Wall
Brown - Beal
IT - Porter
Crowder - Morris
Horford - Gortat

We can afford for Brown to be aggressive and pick up fouls.
They will immediately go to Porter on IT, but I would wait until late in the shot clock to double Porter. If they want the ball in Porters hands that much and take it out of Wall and Beals hands fine. I liked what Thibs used to do and flood the ball side and if they want a clear open shot they have to swing it to the other side of the floor.
