Honest truth is I don't think it really warranted a game suspension. He got ejected. Maybe a fine at worst. I just hate how soft the league has become. BUT I can see why NBA suspended him a game. I think they were afraid of other down stream effects if he wasn't.

If he legit clocked him or swung at him. It was a push. And I think Kelly sold it too. The refs did the right thing and kicked him out of the game so everything didn't go south in that game. So that and a fine would have been my way of doing it. Just think it was a soft suspension is all.

He was accelerating through the contact.  True he showed some restraint by not throwing a punch, but plenty of harm could've come from his uncontrolled rage/charge at KO.  Easily deserved this suspension without ANY doubt.  Kelly didn't have time to sell anything ... Oubre was on him before he knew it.  No time to brace for impact so fell backwards.

And he was so emotional that he was basically in tears. I think that this suspension will do him good in the long run and he will learn to keep his emotions in check. At least I hope so.

It was definitely a suspendable offense, but NBA could have gone either way.

If that was Thomas or Wall I dont think they would have been suspended.

In the season series we had John Wall throw Marcus Smart on the ground. We had John Wall throw a punch at Jae Crowder(?) we had Markieff Morris very blatantly try to throw Horford into the stand and then we had him throw an elbow at Isaiah Thomas. Then we had Brandon Jennings pretty clearly try to create a personal feud between him and Rozier and we had Kelly Oubre now suspended for flying into Olynyk. The Wizards also deemed a game against us, the funeral game and have constantly talked about how they need to be extra physical against us and called us dirty. I went to the Wizards game where Wall through the half-punch at crowder.

Beal was talking all game long and JOhn Wall was showboating while down 15 in the fourth.

Boston isnt innocent, but Washington really seems like they have been the dirtier team.

I don't know how dirty they are haven't seen them enough in the year.  But they definitely have a weird tough guy act as a team.  They are not a lose gracefully on the merits type team...if they're going to lose they'd like to take someone down with them.  I'm surprised the league tolerated the whole dress in black thing.  As a group they are immature at best.

No, it was deserved - no hit to the face made it less likely but it was a completely out-of-control attack on a player that wasn't confronting him, and swept a ref up in it too. Washington's bench gets a bit thinner, but that also probably means a lot more Bogdanovich.

bogdanovich had a LOT of trouble defending the pick and roll. i hope the celtics run it everytime down the floor when he plays.

That might be Zeller time, he plays the pick and roll very well. The problem we only have 3 players that can run it, IT, Gerald Green and Rozier.

I think the potential impact is less about Washington losing Oubre for a game and more about the message the league is sending to the rest of the Wizards: we're not going to tolerate this. Washington has gotten away with a lot of cheap bs this series. Hopefully this is a sign that the refs are going to pay a little closer attention to that.

I don't know how dirty they are but they are trying to do anything they can to prove that are as tough as the Celtics after everyone was questioning their manhood after the Boston games.  Immature is a good way to describe Washington.
