and be the all time leader in playoff points scored.  He is just 210 points behind after passing Kareem the other day for 2nd.  He is also 3rd in assists, 3rd in steals, and 7th in rebounds all time in the playoffs.  The accolades just keep on coming for James.  Hopefully Boston shuts him down and delays him passing Jordan till next year.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

yea... yawn. He has half as many titles and this will be his 12th full prime season which is how many full prime seasons Jordan played. The comparison is dead.

Lebron started younger though so you could argue he came in more raw. That would have impacted how quickly he accumulated his numbers.
Every great player has a different story. It shouldn't discredit them. But when comparing players from different eras, which is hard in itself, the comparison has to go beyond the stat sheet. The stat sheet alone barely accounts for half the impact they have on the floor and there are so many ways of interpreting it.

I don't see how anyone can watch what Lebron is doing this year in particular and come to that conclusion. He is seemingly in absolute control of the game every second, and when he needs to turn it on he has even another gear. It's amazing to see.

I think he's just as dominant as Jordan was in his prime, and whether he ends up with 4 titles or 9, I believe him to be in the conversation.

I mean in these playoffs he's *averaging* 34 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks while shooting 59% from 2 and 48% from 3.

His net on/off is +35! The Cavs are at 123/104 with him on the court, and 110/127 with him off. The defense is 23 points better and the offense is 13 points worse. Those numbers are ridiculous.

I don't know. I feel like there's a personal aspect that gets in the way of appreciating him, at this point. At least for some people.

Lol of course there is a personal aspect. Have you seen some of their comment history on Lebron. These ppl still cling dearly to the the nonsense of Lebron using PEDS because...wait for it...wait for it.....He goes to Maimi during the season or he had a cyst removed from his jaw when much younger... or he rapidly gained/lost weight or he is losing his hair.

Of course when you hear such nonsensical allegations it makes you realise they prob have never spent a consistent month playing any high level sport in their life not to talk of knowing how PED works. The PED thing is particular  funny to me because given how simple minded they are, they link PEDS to having muscles. Yet below are the list of recent athletes caught with PEDS

Joakim Noah,Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkulo, Nick Cathales, OJ MAyo......... These guys are super muscly arent they.

Its the same with tennis, Every hater in the tennis world swears Serena has been using PEDS, yet it is the tall slim, slender Maria Sharapova that was actually caught using them. Ppl will just forever let hate and envy cloud their judgement

Your posting history is littered with you worshipping Lebron and the Cavs. Hardly a neutral observer.

Jordan played in 13 playoffs, this is James 12th playoff season,  James has played more playoff games of course he has never lost in the first round unlike Jordan who lost 3 times in the first round and James has already been in more NBA Finals and Conference Finals (there is of course the extra first round games as well). I totally get Jordan was 6 and 0 in finals but he has also failed to reach the finals 7 times he made the playoffs, James has made 7 finals winning 3 in just 11 playoffs, assuming the Cavs get there this year that will be 8 Finals in 12 seasons and the Cavs will likely be heavy favorites to continue that rum at least one more year.

Well What can I say...IF Lebron Worshipping equals not diminishing or smearing another man's accomplishments based half baked innuedos and fallacies then guilty as charged :D

At least I can respect you right now for not trying even pretending to not be 100% and utterly bias against Lebron. I mean in the past years you you where so full of it with the act. I guess now even the act has worn thin on you and you cant be bothered anymore. Respect 8)

He may pass him in points but he is not going to pass him in rings or clutch moments.

Bully ball isn't fun to watch.  Sure, he's a freak of nature.  Given his complete lack of injury history and the other factors zubi coincidentally laid out, he's probably used/is using PEDs.  He's also a whiney micro-manager that plays the game in a way that a lot of people don't enjoy watching, Celtics fan or otherwise.  The Jordan comparison is a silly one.  MJ was twice the competitor, had half the size/athletic gifts, and was 1.5x more talented.

MJ is the GOAT, but he had way better supporting casts with the exception of the first Miami title.

Wait a second. You are saying Michael Jordan had "half the size/athletic gifts"?

Wouldn't say half but LeBron definitely has more physical gifts than MJ, he weighs 260+ and is 6'8 but has rhe speed and explosiveness of a waterbug guard. MJ was like 220 and 6'6.
