To be perfectly honest, good teams don't give up these 20+ to 0 runs.
Even if the Celts get past the Wiz, they're gonna get killed by the Cavs. You can't allow LeBron to get huge swings like that and be competitive.
Celts have been down fifteen to twenty in three out of four of these games. In those games they've given up enormous runs.
I'd rather they lose in six or seven to the Wiz than get utterly clowned by LeBron.
I disagree with this notion that Cleveland is going to dominate us in 4 in the next round just because of what has happened in this round. This playoffs should remind us of one fact: matchups are everything in the playoffs.
I think we matchup much better with Cleveland than Washington. I at one time thought Washington was a good matchup for us, but their size and length on the perimeter has really hurt us this series. They've also picked up their D significantly, which is in my opinion the biggest factor of this series so far.
Cleveland is an entirely different team. They're very perimeter-oriented offensively, which works very well with how we defend (or at least how we sometimes defend the perimeter), and both Wall and Beal are above-average defenders that can give IT trouble, especially when they get help. Irving and Smith are not like that at all, and we can reasonably hide IT on Smith where we can't at all with Washington right now.
I don't think we'd beat Cleveland, but I think you'd see much more closely-contested games throughout the series with Cleveland.
