Who is the dream fit at PF for the Celtics

Of those available, a healthy Blake would be the best.   


Of course the key word to worry about is health.


After that, it is probably time to trade one (or two depending on the draft) of the short Gs that make up the Celtics backcourt for a good PF/C.

Well to be perfect for Brad he needs to be at least adequate as a passer and he must be able to stretch the floor.

To fit perfect next to Al, he needs to be a terrific rebounder and must be able to defend decently well on the perimeter(Al cant do this).

So, who out there is a good passer, who can stretch the floor, defend the perimeter and (bonus) provide a physical presence inside whether thats strength and tougness or shot blocking.

Blake Griffin actually has the near perfect skillset. Kristapz checks a lot of those boxes. If Millsap rebounded the tiniest bit better, hed be perfect.

If you are talking recent draft picks, Id say: Sabonis, Chriss(mediocre rebounder) and maybe Gordon(neither a rebounder nor floor spacer) and Randle(cant defend perimeter and cant spread floor).

Really no prospects in recent memory(outisde Kristaps) are both decent NBA players and check all those boxes.

Johnathan Isaac is really close. He has the size and athleticism to defend the perimeter and also could rebound well. Hes also got a nice stroke from the outside. Problem with him is that he isnt a good passer(not a dealbreaker) and he strikes me as more of a finesse guy, he has a skinnier frame and might not as much toughness and rebounding as I think is ideal.

Blake is a very good passer. Asthma is really treatable. Medicine has come a long way man.

So Mickey doesn't jump high because he doesn't like showing off, Sabonis' stamina gets better as a game goes on, and apparently Issac's career is in jeopardy due to asthma. The mind of Triboy is truly a fascinating place, where logic is not welcomed.

Giannis- would be a nightmare for opposing teams to deal with as a ballhandling 4, especially with the shooting (Thomas, Bradley, Al, Crowder, etc.) we can surround him with.

This guy looks really good but I am not sure he can be guy we take with our lottery pick. Where is he projected to be drafted? Can Danny possibly package a player and 2nd round draft pick(s) to move up for him?

Seriously though, either re-sign Kelly Olynyk or get Blake Griffin. Keeping Olynyk gives us cap room to pay our current players who have expiring contracts in '18 or get some non-max talent from free agency and we can still trade or make the Nets pick this year. Blake Griffin is really good at basketball.

It's gotta be Draymond Green or...Draymond Green. Maybe Durant or Lebron but that's stretching the limits of this exercise right?

Draymond is exactly where the powerforward position is going. He can basically guard 1-5, he can shoot the 3, run the break, and rebounds. He basically a perfect mix between the small forward and power forward position. He gives your team all the advantages of small ball, with none of the disadvantages.

Tired of losing after two seasons? It may also be the organizational dysfunction, which played a part in losing, that lead to Porzingis walking out after the season.

Like I said, the Celtics should "try" to trade for him. I never said it would be realistic, but it seems at least reasonable if we're talking about a top 4 pick.
