Anyone agree? They acted like the Celtics were fouling every possession. It got annoying

They shut up really quick when the c's won

Not what I heard.

Did you miss it when they talked about the bad call when Horford was called for offensive foul?

People need to take off the green glasses.  I'd bet money that the fans in Washington are saying the same things.

I didn't notice anything egregious by the announcers tonight. The TNT broadcast crews are typically a lot more professional than the ESPN crews are IMO. I liked that they pointed out some close calls that could have gone the other way, and it happened for both teams.

Mark Jackson is horrible - just sucks up to the stars all the time, and Hubie Brown's voice is obnoxious. Mike Breen also sucks up to the stars. The only one on ESPN/ABC that I can stand is Van Gundy. If we make it to the ECF to play Cleveland, I'll be hoping we get as many TNT games as possible, because the ESPN crew will be unbearable if we're playing against LeCrabDribble.

You are right.

Ian Eagle is one of the best in the biz at play by play, I'm glad he was calling our game tonight. There was no bias.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
What broadcast were you watching? The TNT one?

I thought it was fine. They gave the Celtics credit for their toughness and defensive prowess.

If you think that's biased, you should listen to Tommy Heinsohn call a Celtics home game on CSN lol.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Yeah, TNT was pretty decent over all. Only thing that stood out was the foul on Crowder when Beal went down hard. They thought it was a flagrant because Crowders armpit hit Beal in the head even though it was all ball.

Anthony even game credit to AB for grabbing Walls hand on that steal at the end with out the refs seeing it. LOL

They were fine.  I had Spanish audio feed.  ;D

Anyone else with Comcast in Boston area have this issue?

In game one, I believe it was Jeff Van Gundy?, who kept on repeating his disdain for the 3-point-bump foul play that Isaiah had perfected. Seemed fairly obvious he felt frustrated by Thomas' success. Undoubtedly, his constant harping influenced the refs in game two as they didn't call it.

I had them on mute most of the time.
No one compares to Mike and Tommy.
They are the best ever.

I'm only able to use League Pass because I'm from Australia but do Gorman/Tommy/Scal still call games after the first round? The local feeds (if they have them) are never available on League Pass after the first round which is really frustrating.

I would have loved to hear Gorman calling the game last night.

They are.  I did think Greg Anthony was a poor commentator, however.  What I found biased about him was if he thought he saw something live, he'd stick with that version of what happened, even if the replay didn't bear out that truth.  Jackson and Van Gundy annoy me at times, but when the replay shows something different, they'll typically admit it and say they were wrong.

The foul was on Porter, not Beal, FYI.  Also, I disagree with your assessment on Anthony.  I thought he did a very poor job last night, as I said elsewhere.  I normally like him on NBA Gametime, but I thought he was just not calling what happened in front of him half the time.

Greg Anthony was noticeably disappointed each time we made big shots.

Never once did he give us credit for what was several inspired comebacks.  Kept repeating how tired the Wiz must be, how great a player Beal and Wall are, etc etc.

Isn't the color commentator suppose to get excited every now and again?  I could barely hear him over the home crowd down the stretch.

Anthony is a good breakdown analyst, but what a terrible in-game choice to call a playoff game.
