 Olynyk
 Amir
 Jonas
 Green
 Zeller
 Young
 Mickey

Just kidding Those seven guys could be on there way out. These seven players are all under contract and hopefully all of them are staying long term.

 The Serious Seven

 Horford
 Crowder
 Bradley
 Smart
 Thomas
 Rozier
 Brown

Add Zizic and Yabu  it's the Gnarly Nine!

Would love to have Jonas back. Mickey, Jackson and either Nader or the 2017 second round pick could fill out the roster.

 Horford Zizic
 Jonas Yabu
 Crowder Brown
 Bradley Smart, Jackson/Fultz
 Thomas Rozier

We would need a backup center that can stretch ala Horford.

And what if Al goes down a certain amount of time..we will need size to fill in for him..Zizic is a rookie who may get min.  but he may not be enough. Our frontcourt will be pretty thin.

Four guards, Two SF, and Horford. We should be adding Yabu and Zizic. That's nine players. Hayward would be ten players plus the Nets pick that's eleven.

As has been mentioned to you in other threads, this requires sacrifices that you are not listening to. Yab would have to be stashed a further year and Rozier traded. Especially as you have listed the Nets pick as Jackson/Fultz, the likely 1/2 combo.

So with Hayward that is 9 players in your scenario. 10 of you include Demetrius Jackson who is cheaper to keep than waive.

I know I'm probably sounding boring saying it over and over but it is important to understand what we can and can't do. Otherwise people get over hyped and then disappointed when the reality isn't as good

Me 2. If we draft a guard it seems unlikely they all stay, if we also signed Hayward than it would make zero sense. IMO more likely we get Hayward in a sign and trade sending out 2 of those guards.

If we were sending core players back in a s&t, I'd rather chase Paul George. He'd cost more but he's a legit superstar, whereas Hayward is just a very good player. Obviously that is dependent on George being available, but then it's also dependent on Hayward deciding to leave Utah so..

I know Haywood played for Stevens in college, but why would he leave Utah? I watched them yesterday and the have a really good team. I don't think the Celtics are any closer then they are.
I don't know who is is they need, but it's got to be a big body. Once again they were getting killed on the offensive boards. First it was Robin Lopez, than Gortat. They simple do not have a big man who can keep them off the boards. It's going to be very difficult to win when you give up so many second chance points.
Call me crazy, but a Dwight Howard would look pretty good in a Celtics uniform right about now.

Agreed Olynyk is part of the serious 7 over Rozier and Brown for now. Marcus has excellent chemistry with him and like you said that skill set is so valuable tough to replace. I've seen stretch bigs  on the draft sites being referred to as a Kelly Olynyk type.

Unless a team like the Nets absolutely blows him out of the water with a massive restricted offer, I think Kelly will be back as our first big off the bench and the guy who keeps our spacing alive when Horford's taking a rest.

I really don't think Hayward is going anywhere.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Why is Hayward want to leave Utah? Ask me in one week after they get throttled, destroyed, dismantled, dismembered by the Warriors.

In Boston once we get by the Cavs the first time. We are going to the Finals every year for a Looonnngggg time.

 That's a Tp latterday funny!
I'll try my best to honor your request.

 Horford Zizic
 Crowder Yabu Jonas
 Hayward Brown
 Bradley Fultz
 Thomas Smart Rozier

Three more spots for either a veteran big, Mickey, Jackson, Nader and Minnesota second rounder hopefully Jonathan Jeanne 7'2" Big man that's crazy long, skinny and has guard skills.
