Who makes the Ferocious fifteen when all is said and done?

 That's a Tp latterday funny!
I'll try my best to honor your request.

 Horford Zizic
 Crowder Yabu Jonas
 Hayward Brown
 Bradley Fultz
 Thomas Smart Rozier

Three more spots for either a veteran big, Mickey, Jackson, Nader and Minnesota second rounder hopefully Jonathan Jeanne 7'2" Big man that's crazy long, skinny and has guard skills.
how are we affording that?

thats 3 max contracts and substantial money going to Bradley and Smart

Hayward takes slightly below the Max. Once we sign Hayward we can go over the cap to resign our own players.

Jeanne is another perfect Stash player for us.

Olynk will be back. Special skill set for a big and he is getting better

Agreed Olynyk is part of the serious 7 over Rozier and Brown for now. Marcus has excellent chemistry with him and like you said that skill set is so valuable tough to replace. I've seen stretch bigs  on the draft sites being referred to as a Kelly Olynyk type.

Unless a team like the Nets absolutely blows him out of the water with a massive restricted offer, I think Kelly will be back as our first big off the bench and the guy who keeps our spacing alive when Horford's taking a rest.
Jaylen was the third overall pick in last years draft. He actually chipped in on a good team and improved on his weaknesses. I can almost 100% assure you Jaylen Brown is in our core and def over KO!
IMO it is not worth it to overpay for KO especially if the Nets offer him something decent.

Oh please oh please Brooklyn sign Kelly to a four year 80 million dollar contract. He's tough, he will rip your shoulder out of place!

He's a beast! Sign him at any cost!

What about the Brooklyn pick? Or are we trading that pick to the Clippers for Blake Griffen  :police:

I doubt it. It will likely be Fultz, Jackson, Tatum or Ball.

Hopefully a franchise type talent for the next ten years.

And there it is. Not only will Hayward pass on an extra $30m, he'll also take less than the max to sign with us. Delusional

Whatever Dude. Show some optimism, it's Stevens favorite player.

 What's your plan Einstein.

I really don't think Hayward is going anywhere.

Jazz refused to give him the max last go around, they waited for him to explore the market and then matched. Bill Simmons put this information out there on Monday, said Hayward wasn't thrilled about that and could still be bitter.

It's not optimism to think that a star player who is happy at his current team would up and leave and furthermore show us special treatment that he wouldn't give to other teams. It's straight out of a fairytale.
It is aggravating when you see a post that literally cannot work under the CBA and then it's touted as Route A. This 'Route A' then gets passed around C's fans until it's accepted as our best move, when in fact...it still can't happen.

I'm a very open supporter of Avery Bradley which is one of the reasons why I don't think Hayward is the answer but I also enjoy learning about the CBA and the cap rules we are subject too. I've set out what I'd do quite a few times. Renegotiate IT to the $25m max this summer, attempt to trade for Paul George with the core offer being Crowder + Nets pick (and you'd need some more smaller pieces), re-sign KO to go over the cap and then sign Nader and Green to min contracts and look for a bargain basement big. You would retain the players who are making a run this year except with Paul George instead of Crowder. Things get very expensive in 2018 but they do anyway if you bring in Hayward. George is also a far superior talent to Hayward.

Of course we may not get George, in which case you have different options, perhaps you renegotiate Bradley instead of IT and use the extra cap space to sign a big before re-signing KO to go over the cap. Or do the same as above and look at making a trade during the year.

Heh, sorry guys I have a lot of difficulty putting Jaylen ahead of Kelly when Kelly was a huge factor to us winning some of those Bulls games and Jaylen played under 20 minutes in that entire series.

I'm probably off on the definition of what it means to be in the core though. How I read it we're talking about the current rotation and while I love the kid think at one point he will be one of our top 3 players, as of right now Jaylen is our 11th man and Kelly is our best big not named Al Horford.

PS if the Nets offered him an obscene contract I'll be fine letting Kelly walk but personally I think we're going to match anything within reason. We shall see!
