So what's the excuse du jour for this horrible start?
It happens.  We'll make it back or we won't.  Why try to explain it.

Well, often times in basketball a team puts together a good 2nd quarter and erases the lead after a terrible 1st quarter.  I can only hope that this will be the case here, because that 1st quarter was close to unwatchable.

one can hope. you just cannot dig holes this deep in playoffs especially AT HOME and expect to survive
LET'S GO CELTICS!

5 possessions the entire quarter that Washington did not score. Wow.

spacing is not working. nobody is driving to hoop. we need a big who can protect rim and rebound next year ansd score. put al at PF

Yup.....I agreee

I'd take Blake Griffin though. Just saying.

well, the celtics trailed by 16. now by 14. a guess that is better.  :P

still, if they were shooting at their normal rate, it would be a closer game by far.

let's see what happens with the wizzers bench on the floor.

The talent discrepancy is amazing.  Celtics look like d-leaguers.

They can't keep that pace up.

See defense and rebounding is all effort. Something this team lacks regularly

Amir better not play another minute in the playoffs.

You realize that probably means he starts next game lol

Got to have more consistent play on offense, attack the rim by Bradley and Crowder .....shooting outside bricks hard as they can go.

STILL EARLY!!!!!!!!  LOLOLOLOLOLOL  terrible after a whole quarter

So it is still early... I mean there are 3 quarters to go and teams have come back from far larger deficits.

The problem is the C's aren't doing anything to instill confidence that they can actually come back. Hopefully I'm wrong
